Luis Sharpe Does It Again

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Luis Sharpe facing drug charges

ESPN.com news services

Arizona Cardinals: Former Cardinals star Luis Sharpe was arrested on drug charges after police allegedly caught him buying cocaine.

The former All-Pro tackle was booked Tuesday into Madison Street Jail on felony narcotics possession and transaction charges, said Phoenix police Lt. Kirk Fitch.

Officers were conducting surveillance in the area when Sharpe drove up and participated in a suspected drug deal, investigators said. When police swooped in to arrest Sharpe, 43, he tossed a large bag of cocaine out of his car, Fitch said.

Sharpe has had numerous run-ins with the law since 1995, when officers arrested him on suspicion of sexual assault and resisting arrest.

He has served time for probation violations and been ordered into long-term drug treatment.

I guess this guy doesn't know when to quit. I saw a segment on him on HBO or ESPN and he supposedly was a minister in his church or something. He was trying to get his life back together.

It just makes me wonder how many current and former NFL players do this type of stuff WITHOUT getting caught.

Jake, I beleive there are most former players doing this kind of stuff then we want to think about. Drugs has ruined more careers. Manely and Irvine come to mind on that.
