Seeing as how this isn't one, sure ... all it asks is who we think the head coach will be next year, a perfectly legitimate question
...yet it became another fire Gibbs thread, a sort of collecting place. Seems to happen a lot.
When did that happen? I see a lot of "no way does Danny fire him" and some chat about Cowher and Grimm and that's it. In fact, I see a single post that sort-of says fire Joe Gibbs. No offense intended sir but you are starting with an assumption and seeing what you want to support that.
If we were to get a new HC, I would like to see how Russ Grimm could handle the reigns. After all, he IS a HOG. He IS part of our legacy. How great would it be to see him come here and take us back to the greatness when he played? I know I sound like a school girl with my 1st crush, but it WOULD be great!
...any given Sunday....
RIP #21 Sean Taylor. You will be loved and adored by Redskins fans forever!!!!!
GSPODS:
The National Anthem sucks.
What a useless piece of propagandist rhetoric that is.
The way I see it Gibbs signed for 5 years, he will honor his contract. I think after Joe steps down, Gregg Williams steps up. I thought the whole reason Joe brought in Al was to have continuaty when he leaves. Gibbs cares about the future of this franchise
I thought I read that it was in his contract to get first bid on the head coach job when Gibbs leaves....?
I think I like the Idea as long as GW don't get more arrogent, and if he allows Al to do what he does best.
I know GW track record as a head coach is not good. But, he didn't have Al, nor did he have Danny boy's money.
As with the Pats, and Steelers and so on. Teams with consistently the same philosophy tend to do best. With minor tweeks, each year.
If we get an entire new head coach, the everything changes, from the O to the D to the practices, even a lot of players. We will basiclly be starting from scratch, the progress we have made, will regress. The way Campbell has come along, and other players. Heck, for that matter a new coach might not like JC at all and go after a MB04 to take his place. You just don't have any clue what all changes a new head coach will make. And you don't know how sucessful or unsucessful it might be.
At least if GW steps in, he has seen this teams struggles, and Gibbs mistakes. That is something to build on vs starting from scratch, and with Al staying as the OC. Thats great for JC's development. The two have already spent lots of time together and know each other well.
I mean all the great coaches of today learned under great coaches. GW by himself= not great. But GW after learning from Gibbs, and having Al's support the O, Plus having the same team he had while learning under Gibbs= well, who knows but it could be great.

OK, could be I'm starting lose the patience to read things straight.
On the original question, I predict that Joe Gibbs wil coach the Redskins next year, and perhaps as many more years as he wants and as his health allows.

I don't put anything past Snyder. If the season keeps going like it is, I could definitely see him letting Gibbs go and maybe disguising it in the form of Gibbs stepping down. Word up.
Cowboys 7- Redskins 6 (All we needed was 2 minutes of the 60)
Cowboys 17 - Redskins 0 (Way to NOT show up for the 100th anniversary)

Do I have to type like everyone else? I'am not spamming Mike Shanahan could come to Washington because their are rumors saying that Broncos are going to fire him after the season.

You've exhibited a pattern thus far which suggests you are far more interested in posting off-topic nonsense than you are in having a serious conversation, you were warned by another moderator and chose to continue. That may not meet the classical definition of spamming but it's close enough. If you have any further questions about moderating, please PM myself, another staff member or the site admin.
wow, Bnhog might be on to something there. Maybe coach Gibbs steps into the front office, we name GW as head coach, and let Al do his thing without interference. Personally, I like that scenario.
