Redskins FS Sean Taylor has a knee sprain and expects to miss a few weeks. Pierson Prioleau will likely take over as Washington's starting free safety while Taylor is out. Taylor was enjoying one of his best seasons as a pro. The Redskins' secondary looks ripe for the picking in Week 11 at Dallas.
James Thrash (ankle) was on crutches at the Redskins' facility Monday. He also had a cast on his left leg, signaling that the ankle might be broken. It was originally believed that Thrash suffered a high ankle sprain. Thrash started in place of Santana Moss (heel) Sunday and scored twice.
I don't expect us to win with ST but this doesn't help us at all. I am really curious to see what we do to stop Dallas. GW needs to do something to slow them down and not play prevent all day b/c if we do, it'll be long day for the defense.

It'll be interesting to see what he does. If he sits in that 2 deep zone without Taylor we will get blown out.
More injuries...more adjustments. More pass plays to that young fellow who sat on IR during the SB 26 season...Pierson P isn't Tayor, but Landry is no slaouch. It was nice to have them both, but the Redskins have played and won with only one before.
Who is our team doctor and what Nicaraguan medical school did he buy his degree from?

its amazing how many injuries we take ....Cowboys arent EVEN NICKED UP...our team'S INJURY REPORT looks like we just finished storming OMAHA BEACH...
I JUST CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE! its a cruel joke
Bubba says he has a Grade II sprain of his right knee and is out at least two weeks. Given how they generally give a timetable around here, you have to think this is more of a 3-4 week thing, but you never know. He could be a quick healer.
Yep, this could get ugly on Sunday. I already have a case of Harpoon IPA chilling on the back porch in preparation...

LMAO. We are going without the one man that strikes fear into 81's routes.......this is going to suck
#21 (36) This IS and will always be the High watermark where all new DB's are measured.
Brandon Lloyd injured his shoulder when he hit the ground on the last play of practice, Coach Joe said. The receiver left The Park in a sling and was going for further testing.
Receivers Santana Moss and James Thrash missed practice as well - Thrash is definitely out and Moss is looking very iffy to play - some Reche Caldwell, come on down. Looks like Randle El and McCardell could be starting, with Caldwell as the No. 3. Burt Toler is on the practice squad, and he might end up activated, I imagine, given all these injuries. (Can't help feeling bad for Mike Espy through all of this. He was ready to soldify his place, I think, tore up his knee in camp and missed what could have been a breakthrough season him. He would have ended up with a lot of PT with all these injuries.).
LB Marcus Washington (hamstring) practiced fully, so barring a setback that's a good sign that he might be able to play. CB Fred Smoot (hamstring) was limited in practice. Sean Taylor (knee) and Pete Kendall (knees) also missed practice.

Jason is in traffic, but Jason Reid called to tell us that Brandon Lloyd has a broken clavicle. Bubba Tyer just updated the media....
Doesn't hurt much again but he could be done for the year. I would say that put him on IR and bring up Burl Toler. This allows them to keep Randy Thomas in waiting without having two guys done for a long while taking up roster spots.

I really think we have to check out these guys off season workouts. Or personal trainers.
I mean come on.
A broken collarbone???? [sarcasm]Yeah, that's all about conditioning...[/sarcasm]

I'm wondering if perhaps Landry plays some free safety this week... he may not cover as well as ST, but I think it's the footsteps that bother 81 the most...

Well come on. No team has more starters hurt then the Redskins. Something is not right here. It cant just be plain bad luck.
I understand every team has injuries but the Redskins have twice the injuries other teams do.
Who knows maybe Lloyd had some calcium deficiencies? Also the stronger your muscles are the more protection they provide for the bones they are surrounding.
I mean wow! I cant remember a team having this many injuries.
I don't think that broken bones or injuries like Jon Jansen's can be blamed on conditioning, but we sure have had more than our fair share of hamstring and groin problems, and that does fall somewhere between conditioning and the training staff. There is a problem, and this has been going on for at least 2-3 years.

Please tell me that part is a joke
I mentioned maybe as a possibility. Also do you have a better explanation?
I understand in football injuries are part of the game, but in the Redskins case it seems to be an ongoing thing.
To not question why this is happening is a mistake. Are you telling me that conditioning is not a possibility for all these injuries that have been taking place?
Oh and yes the stronger your muscles are the more protection they provide for the bones and ligaments that they are surrounding . Also Calcium defeciencies can contribute to a broken bone. Go ahead and ask your doctor. Everything I said makes perfect sense. Go ahead and read and do some research yourself you might learn something.
