I think 10-6 will make the playoffs, so if they play exactly as they have been so far, we will make it. Our division games are the most important. Win those, and we will win the division.

It's about time someone at "The Park" shows some sort of emotion. If I were on this team, especially on offense, they'd heard my mouth and I'd be 'benched' a long time ago. If fans like the ones here on THN can see how inept Gibbs has been in his second stint, then I'm sure as a player, it has to be worst.

I am not going to believe for one minute that there are guys, especially WRs, on that offense that are happy with Joe sticking his nose in the play-calling. These guys are people and fans too and I am sure that a few of them are secretly calling for Al to take full control.

Today was just another example of why Joe Gibbs is a "shell" of his former self and that maybe he is not suited to coach in the modern NFL.

everyone that has just bad mouthed santana is obviously missing the big picture. he is having a bad year, yes. but he IS our best reciever by far. do you think down in carolina they are talking about scrapping steve smith.... NO! i understand some of us want to point fingers, but moss is not the guy to blame, he is pissed he had a bad game, hes pissed hes injured, and hes prob pissed at the overall production this year. i have already written this year off as a loss, i was hoping maybe i wouldnt think that way but after the philly game i cant help it, we stink. we barely win easy games. if we had a big tall reciever on the other side of moss you all would be singing a different tune.

Exactly how many wins does this team have to give away before even the clueless figure out that a big receiver is the least of the Redskins problems? That issue is on the back of page two. If that embarrassing defeat at the hands of New England didn't improve play-calling, execution, and clock management, motivate any semblance of killer instinct, or convince the coaching staff to use healthy personnel instead of injured personnel, nothing will. One big receiver would not make this a playoff team, and anyone who thinks otherwise isn't paying attention.

I think that says it all right there.... And to me, that says that it all falls back to coaching with falls back to Joe Gibbs.... Let's face it, he was a HOF coach in his first stint. Now, if not for the HOF Credentials and that past, he'd been fired after last season or probably within the next two weeks depending upon how this team does in the next two games. Heck, it might even be the next game, Dallas....

What?

Ok lets see. "improve Play-calling"

Campbell called a lot of the plays, and we didn't Run on every down except third like usual.

"execution"

Portis had 137y yards, Campbell passed for 215 and 3TDs

He passed to Thrash for 85y, El 44y,Cooley 33y, McCardell 33, CP 20y Looks like he spread the ball pretty well.

Maybe your talking about the Penalties 11 for 74 yards. That sucks and I would say that more fall under the stupid mistakes catagorie than the execution. Execution did fall apart in the last 2 min of the game. Could that be the young QB chocking????? and not so much Gibbs fault. Hmm.

Then you say " clock management". We did get the ball back with 2 mins to go. Which sould be enough time IF we had good RWs and Campbell don't panic. Yes JC blew a time out once because he didn't like what he saw on the other side of the ball. You do know this is his first time in the NFL going no huddle right? Crap happens during a game thats not always expected. And Im sure what happened wasn't planned.

"motivate any semblance of killer instinct"

Didn't he go for 2 early in the game because of Sazham! 2 years ago he wouldn't have gone for it. And of couse we didn't make and everyone is giving him crap for it, But that screems "I want to win this game". Time and Time again we've seen Gibbs not go for it, and people were complaining because he had no balls. Now, what, he has too much. Then, eveyone is saying why did he settle for a FG in fourth, he should have went for it. What the crap. Do you guys even know what you are saying? If we couldn't punch it in earlier why would we be able to now. Yes Gibbs gave it a shot earlier in the game,(how many tries did we have to make TDs in the redzone in this game) and we didn't make it. All of a sudden the fans believe the other tries were dumb but we should have went for this one and everything would have changed and Portis would have walked in untouched. WoW. What great fans we have.

Which brings us to
"coaching staff to use healthy players"

I though Thrash was playing instead of Moss. And I thought Washington was out. And I saw Taylor come out of the game when he was hurt. I think Id take Taylor at 75% over 100%Prelou(spelling) we saw how well he could stop Westbrook on that screen play. Maybe your talking about Kendells bad knees, in which case he wouldn't have seen the field all year, if we were to keep him out when he's not 100%.
I firmly believe the Patriots are the antichrist.

I like preliou (sp?) but for crying out loud, LoL he looks lost out there.. Well at least 25% of the time anyway, he does make good plays, but it is clear that his skills are limited. He's no ST, or LL, but he's an OK replacement. More time under taylor and he'll get better.
