Zero. The team has too many other needs.

Probably not as much as the glaring need for a big, tall game-changing WR.

First you would have to know where we are drafting and where Long is projected to go, both are going to change too much in the next 2-3 months for anyone make an intelligent guess on either.

We may not need to trade up; we may have to trade down. We may not have any interest in him. And we do have other needs. Like a tall #1 WR, a starting OG, a CB (or 2), and maybe even an OT.

About the only areas we couldn't use a first rounder on are S, TE, and FB. It really would be nice to give Campbell either a stud to throw to or one to block for him. I have been on record as saying you should never ever use a top ten pick on a WR, but hopefully this team is drafting in the 20s or 30s in the first round so a WR wouldn't be too bad down there. However, you can normally find a star OG at that spot.

There are some juniors coming out that are pretty good speed rushers, so if he has a bad combine he might slip a bit. I hope he does because he is a quick, physical pass rusher in the Reggie White/ Michael Strahan mold. and he is good in run support.

Speed rushers aren't usually run support specialists... those are usually opposites. Case in point: Andre Carter.

Like any other team need, this is about philosophy. Does the team want Dave Butz & Darryl Grant, who weren't much for sacks but nobody was running through them, or does the team want Charles Mann & Dexter Manley, a.k.a. "The Sack Attack"? Rarely, if ever, do you get both pass rushing and run stopping ability out of one player.

Chris Long is a projected top ten pick. After seeing his play this year he is outstanding. He can play the run and rush the QB. If his stock drops we may have a chance at getting him.

The Redskins are slotted at number 21.

I agree 100%, Long is a stud. I can't see his stock dropping, he has solid character and is fundamentally sound. Of course sometimes numbers at the Combine really hurt players. We'll just have to see.
