Jets/Skins Official Post-game Discussion Thread
Since CLL locked his own thread, let's open a new one.
So my daughter just called while she was walking out of Giants stadium singing a very happy little tune. Something called, "Hail to the Redskins!"
Hail!

That's exactly what I told her. And just think, I have a chance to continue the good luck streak next week when I go to DC for the E-Gals game. We have a chance to be 6-3 after that game.

I hear ya. It's great the Skins are managing to win, but they're extremely frustrating to watch. Not enjoyable at all. Where is the discipline on this team? How can Sean Taylor and Fletcher commit such stupid uncalled for penalties, not only in this game, but against the Cards? How can this team, with its payroll and talent, be barely good enough to beat the worst teams in the league, and get historically destroyed by great teams? This has got to be the most underachieving team in the league, and they're bound to break your heart eventually the way they're playing. Yeesh, I can hardly bear to watch them anymore.

Our lick is just about right this year.
If we were lucky we would be 7-1.
If we were unlucky we would be 1-7.
Could do with Dallas winning tonight we wn't catch them so the iggles need to go away.

We are 5-3 and we hold our destiny in our hands. The next 2 weeks we play 2 conference teams.
my only advice is to...... get in, sit down, shut up, and hold on!!!! its gonna be a wild ride.

What do you mean we won't catch them? If they lose were one game back and we still play them twice. If don't believe we can catch them from one game back we should just give it up.

Ummm...no...who has Phallus beaten? The Gnats? Another fraud.
And who have the Redskins beaten? Anyone with a winning record?
No. Did I say that? We choked away the Giants and Pack games. Not a good pattern but correctable.
Dallas wilted like a diseased plant in the latter half of last season. Would I bet the house on us? No. But I'm not gonna concede anything after 8 games, especially when we may well be 1 game out tonight.
Duck! The sky is falling!

It was LARON LANDRY, not SEAN TAYLOR, that had the 15 yard penalties against the Cards and today against the Jets. Taylor has played very under control so far this season so lets not start coming up with phantom penalties that he had nothing to do with.

The Lions
Would anyone say the Lions team the Redskins played, the one missing two starting wide receivers, is the same caliber of team as Dallas?
There are many Redskins fans I've known who, no matter what season you're talking about, are always defeatist when it comes to Dallas. It's been that way for 35 years. Even when we beat them they say we got away with one or we were just on a roll that day.
By the way, are you talking about the same Lions team that went in to Dallas and beat them at the end of last season even though they were playing for nothing while Dallas badly needed the win?
OK you win. Dallas will beat us 18 of the next 20 and the other 2 will be flukes. Lets just go jump in the Potomac.

Yes. Many who haven't drank the Cowboy Kool-aid all their life would.
