-We for a couple years now have refused to draft a DE in the draft and instead over pay old age DE like Daniels to just be here for a couple years and don't turn out as hot as we hoped. But this year Danny has a new face in the draft and this year we will draft the second best avalable DE in the draft-
Fast-Explosive-and a tackling machine.
2) Round Frank Okam-DT(Texas)
-A.Mongomery is imporivng but is still not the answer.Okam is prior to be a first round pick but this year there isn't alot of teams in need of a DT and if lucky in the second round we should get a DT like him.Hes size is what we need in the 4-3 D and could create pressure if on a 1-1 match with the C or tacklers.
3-Dustin Killer (TE)Purdue
-It might come to shock in why we need a TE in the 3rd round and I'll tell you why.Chris ey is a great TE but with the injured OL he has to be on blocking assignment and hes not to good in doing that. The skins need to bring in this stud Blocker to help the OL create runs and bring less pressure ,so that JC can trow open to his WR's including Killer.
4-Chris Micduffie-OG(Clemson)
-We should get a rookie OG to adress on the OL depth so that if Randy Thomas gets injured or Kedell than this guy should fit in will.Heyer will be good enough at the Tackling postion if Jansen or Samuels gets injured but we should look into the OG position.
5-Jack Williams -CB-(Kent.Sta )(Edit) I changed my mind
-Springs will be gone by this year and we could be left with Rogers and Smoot. This guy is pretty quick and might improve in the secondary.
6-T.C outstrander-(QB)-Stanford
-Don't worry he won't take JC spot but Brunell is retiring after this year and Collins might also so we should draft a young QB like this who could probably save us one day if JC gets injured.
7-Anthony Hoke/OLB)
-Nothing Special but he does create good pressuruing when he could.
Note:Reason I didn't want to add a WR is because the skins are going to adress that trough free agency by getting a AVG WR or maybe Fits or Chad Johnson .

Please please please no Glen Sharpe. As a Miami fan I've watched him suck for the last 4 years. I don't want to have to continue watching him get burned for the Skins.

You're envisioning a rookie 5th round pick to replace Springs?
Hail to the Redskins!

hahaha.. I knew who started this thread before I even opened it.. we are 8 weeks into the season .. and about the same through the college season.. lets wait just a bit .. I will be shocked if we even draft one of these guys.. who knows whats gonna happen

Not to mention that we won't even have a 4th round pick because of the Kendall trade. How ridiculous is it to start looking forward to the 2008 draft, when we aren't even halfway through the 2007 season? We also have no idea where we will finish, and therefor, our draft position. Just when I think threads can't get any more useless, somebody sets a new standard.

Just there for coverage and stuff but if you guys know some one who is in the CB position that will most likely fall at 5th than tell me.

I mean I know a couple free agents next year.
Dominique Foxwort
Quentin Jammer
They all will come cheap so instead we should just draft-get a new WR like Fits or Chad(I say alot) and get one of them instead of 2 high price guys like Samuels and Hall

We traded Kendell for the 09 draft.
Should Kendall be on the field for at least 80 percent of Washington's offensive plays this season, the Redskins will send a 2009 fourth-round pick to the Jets, according to sources with knowledge of the situation. Otherwise, the Jets will get Washington's 2008 fifth-round pick; the Redskins do not have a fourth-round selection in that draft
You are partially correct. Its still waaayyyyy too early in the season to even think of next years draft.

The Jets will receive a fifth-round pick in 2008 if Kendall plays 80 percent of the snaps this year; if he plays more than that, the pick would be upgraded to a fourth-rounder in 2009. Until this year is over we won't know what he cost us.

right but we still dont have the 4th because of our all star running back tj duckett...wait oh no he doesnt play for us but we gave up two picks for him nice...
According to SI we are not going to have any picks in next year's draft - we are trading all of them to Miami for the rights to Jason Taylor and Jimmie Johnson. I also heard that Troy Aikman is going to be our QB coach
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Sounds all go to me but hey we should trade our first and 2nd for Chaddy ya ya Johnson than Sean Taylor for Jason Taylor lol.And the hell with JC is Ankman is coming than let him be our QB.
These are my prospects for the first round pick. I think our D line is still lacking a bit in terms of pressuring the Qb. I would also love to see a switch to the 3-4 as opposed to the 4-3. It is very difficult to find Defensive ends that suit the 4-3 , Defensive ends who can rush the passer and stop the run are few and far between. The 3-4 allows our ends to be OLB which are in abundance.
These are guys I would have on my list as the Redskins GM.
So here are my prospects for rounds 1-3
1. Derrick Harvey 6-5 245lbs, Florida ,forty time 4.67, DE/OLB
2. Shawn Crable 6-5 245lbs, Michigan ,forty time 4.75 DE/OLB
3. Quentin Groves 6-5 254lbs, Auburn,forty time 4.63 DE/OLB
4. Vernon Gholston 6-4 260lbs, Ohio State , forty time 4.78 DE/OLB
5. Malcom Kelly Wr 6-4 210lbs , Oklahoma, forty time 4.4
6. Adarius Bowman Wr 6-4 215lbs, Ok St. , forty time 4.4
7. Jaison Williams Wr 6-4 243lbs, Oregon, forty time 4.5
8. Limas Sweed Wr 6-5 218lbs, Texas , forty time 4.5
9. James Hardy 6-6 218lbs, Indiana, forty time 4.5 , WR
10. Paul Hubbard 6-4 215lbs, Wisconsin, forty time 4.4 ,WR
11. D.J. Hall 6-3 190lbs , Alabama, forty time 4.4 , WR
12. Marcus Monk 6-6 220lbs, Arkansas , WR , forty time 4.6
13. Mario Urrutia, 6-6 220lbs, Louisville, WR , forty time 4.5
14. Bruce Hocker , 6-4 200lbs, Dukes, WR , forty time 4.4
15.* Darren Mcfadden, 6-2 210lbs, Arkansas, forty time 4.3, RB
Just in case his stock drops we will take this guy he is far too talented to not pick up , if he is available. projected to be top three pick.
16. Felix Jones, 6-0 200lbs, RB, ARkansas, Forty time 4.4, If this guy is available when we pick I say why not? Portis is starting to show his age and has been banged up these past couple years. I would take him in a snap.
17. Ray Rice , 5-9, 205lbs, RB, RUtgers , Forty time 4.4 ,
Ray Rice is also an excellent back. Very compact power runner, just may be what we need in Washington. If we are in the top fifteen picks then I would opt to go with the best talented player. Projected to be top 20pick.
18. Jake Long , 6-7 ,300lbs, Michigan T/G , this is by far the best lineman coming out of the draft if he drops far enough I say why not? Jake Long would probably go top three but you got to put this guy on your list if he is available, he is massive and can run block/pass block he can be the cornerstone to any offensive line.
19. Malcom Jenkins , 6-1,200lbs , CB, Ohio State, forty time 4.3
True Lock down corner. Ohio State breeds some of the best defensive backs.
20. Reggie Smith , 6-1 200lbs, Cb, Oklahoma, forty time 4.4
Another lock down corner. This guy can provide immidiate help.
This 2008 draft class is deep in talented cornerbacks.
21. Justin King, 6-0 180lbs, Cb, Penn St. , forty time , 4.32
22. Antoine Cason , 6-0 180lbs, Cb, Arizona, forty time , 4.39
23. Glenn Dorsey, 6-2 300lbs, DT, LSU, forty time, 5.1
I prefer not to draft a DT in the first three rounds for I think we are good at DT. If you notice we are stopping the run fine in Washington. But if Glenn Dorsey is easily one of the Best in college.
24. Cedrick Ellis , 5-1 295lbs, DT, USC , forty time 4.8. Cedrick and Glen Dorsey are both in a league of there own. The only two Defensive Tackles worth drafting in the first round. Both Ellis and Dorsey can play any tackle position, 3-4, 4-3.
I would love for us to find a good DE/OLB type in the first round like Lavar Arrington/Demarcus Ware/ Shawn Merriman type guy in the first round.
Second Round I feel we should go for a the Physical receiver we have been missing for so long. There is plenty of WR prospects to choose from.
Of course if a player like Darren Mcfadden happened to be available or Jake Long then I dont know how we could let them go by.
