Jason Peters, TE, Arkansas: At 6-4½ and 336 pounds, Peters has the size to play tackle, but he also has quick feet for a man this big. Some teams see him as a tackle, some want him to play tight end and others envision him as a blocking fullback or H-back. He can catch the football and should get better at it as he develops. if he stays at tight end. The intriguing thing here is his ability as a tackle. With those feet, he could be a good one.
I read this from CBS Sportsline. When I read this I immediatley began researching him. I have read that he has decent hands. But his only question is his speed. Which we can get around.
I also researched where he should be drafted. He will be drafted in rounds 5-6
He plays Tight End /Tackle so you know he can block. The best thing I read about him is that he is huge, He weighs 336 pounds. Imagine a 6'5" 336 monster clearing holes for Clinton Portis.

If he has quick feet and balance, he might be more valuable as a left tackle. I'm thinking of the recent old days, when the Redskins got Jim Lachey. Joe Jacoby had never been able to block Lawrence Taylor, except on some running plays when Taylor was trapped in a lane, "like a deer in the headlights" of the biggest truck on the highway. Given some room, given a pass play, LT was too quick for Jacoby, and usually got around him.
Lachey was quicker, and I remember that Taylor never (almost never?) had a sack when he rushed one-on-one against Lachey. The Giants finally started hiding Taylor, having someone rush first, to engage Lachey, and sending Taylor on a delay. Or moving him to the other side.
If this 336 pound OT/TE is that quick, then maybe he should be at left OT. Assuming a right-handed QB, that kind of left tackle might be the most valuable player the Redskins could have.
(And, of course, it all reverses with a left-handed QB. It might be interesting to trace out the changes required to switch between Brunnel and Ramsey...)
Theres no way Peters is gonna be available in round 5 and definitely not round 6 unless something really weird happens. He's 336 lbs. and runs a 4.88- 4.90 forty yard dash. He'll probably be gone between rounds 3- 4. If he slips we better take him.
He's gonna have to cut some weight to play H-back or tight end. You know what will be funny is seeing Rock Cartwright and this monster compete for the same position...

Man, that would be hilarious! Rock would be so intimidated on the inside. But he wouldn't let anyone be aware of it.

OK, so a countertrey left would consist of Jon Jansen, Randy Thomas, and the genetic mutant h-back pulling and then slamming headlong into the defense's right side... ouch. Try as I might, I just can't come up with a better description than welch's 'inconceivable'...
Imagine being able to give the appearance of doubling someone like Michael Strahan with JJ and the mutant and then having the ability to have Jansen actually NOT help, and shift inside for interior support... or the pure beef behind a screen ANYWHERE... the possibilities are endless.
Gibbs always liked throwing in an extra tackle in a heavy jumbo... how could a guy be more suited?

Peters is big, mean, and is still fast. Just like Shawn Andrews and Cedric Cobbs.
Some of you should look at Cedric Cobbs; He can get people drooling with all his speed, power, and running ability.
Razorbacks went 9-4 this year, as my sig reads. When he was hurt, we went 0-2. The other game he didn't start but still played was Auburn. We lost 10-3. At LSU, he was still a bit hurt, and we lost. So, can I say, he is good?

Can you imagine one of the cowboy backers getting met by a three hundred pound h back with a running start??? After one confrontation, they would be like here go where you want to. If the players keep getting this big someone is going to get hurt...preferrable a puke!!

Think about little Dexter Coakley in the Dallas game. We would run the Counter Trey. And he would have Randy Thomas and Jon Jansen both running at him. He finally gets away in unbelieveable play, and Boom he gets hit by a 336 pound truck.

Um. Trust me, many people have broken laws. Players like Ray Lewis have been in court. Atleast Cobbs wasn't accused of having sex with a 15 year old girl like one of the Vicks.
Cedric Cobbs has been following the law for a long time now and he has changed. Thing is, he doesn't have too much potential as being a starting HB in the NFL, but he can be a super 2nd stringer. At the very least should be a special teamer.
Anyways, personally, I think he is a really cool guy. I met him and he is pretty funny and doesn't even start to talk about himself playing football unless you ask him about it, so he doesn't brag.
Note: Cedric Cobbs is bigger(Weight), taller, and faster(40-Times)than most of the top HBs.

I like Winslow a lot, but this guy could be a real steal if he pans out. This way we get Taylor or trade down for Udeze or whomever and still get this guy. I think I only saw Arkansas play once or twice last year and this guy was a force to recon with. I expect him to go higher than what he is projected.

Remember; Mr. Peters played next to the great Shawn Andrews. So, of corse he is a good blcoker on tape, Shawn Andrews will just pick up his guy as well if Peters messes up.
Also, skin_to_the_bone, no offense, but what games did you watch? You might of needed to watch them throughout the season to watch the passing attack as it was very, very rare. Pass attempt numbers were usually almost as low as the winning score at a golf tournament.
One more thing, since you watched Arkansas a bit, what did you think of Cedric Cobbs?
