Computer Question

Post by Justice Hog »

First, I gotta figure out how to explain this problem/issue I am having.

When I am on a website page or reading email and want to scroll down, my page does not scroll down smoothly. Instead, the screen flickers as I scroll down with the content moving.

My PC at works scrolls smoothly. My PC at home does not. I'm thinking it's a hardware setting issue? If any has any advice/guidance, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

P.S.: I've tried adjusting screen settings. Didn't work.

What is your screen resolution set at and what type of video card are you using? Also, do you know the refresh rate of the monitor?

And do you have one of those scrolling mouse wheels that is also a button that locks the screen?

Actually, I fixed it. I went to the DELL website, entered my service tag and re-downloaded the appropriate video driver and re-installed it.

All is well now.

Thanks.

Excellent. It's pretty hard to guess the problem over the net so I'm glad it was that easy to solve.

Yeah, I know just enough about computers..and troubleshooting...to be very dangerous. Very dangerous.

In other words, I don't know squat! :D
