MNF is not about Football

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

What is this guy's problems

That pick was from the Boston Globe. That's the problem.

Found this interesting:

Joe Theismann said he's interested in pursuing NFL analyst work in 2008 and hopes to speak with NFL Network, among others. ''I feel unchallenged but not bored,'' he said. ''I have other business interests.'' And he also gives motivational speeches. What does he think of Monday Night Football now? ``Ron is a terrific football guy but he happens to work on Tony's show. It has become a three-hour Tony Kornheiser show. When I was let go, they explained they wanted more of an issue show and less about football. They've accomplished that.'' -- Miami Herald

I'm glad we don't have anymore MNF games this year. The only thing to really suffer through is the Thursday game w/ the bears. Who knows who the NFL network will make us suffer through.

They need to FIRE ALL of the MNF analysts and put in Joey T and Mike Patrick and the other guy from the old ESPN Sunday night football. That was good broadcasting !

Yeah, I agree. Tony is becoming very annoying. I would really like to see Joey T. return with Jaws and some other commentator. I've always liked Jaws. I think he is among the best in providing analysis of the NFL.

Agreed. I think Jaws, Joe T. and Trico would be alright. I don't mind Tony on his radio show or PTI, but I can't stand him on MNF.

At this point I would even take Rush Limbaguh and Dennis Miller at the same time to get rid of the crap that we are subjected to every monday night now. At least they tried to act like they knew football and wanted to talk about football.

The entire presentation is just bad - it goes way beyond Kornheiser. In the past, we could at least count on one of the week's best matchups, but ABC/ESPN sold MNF to NBC. MNF is now SNF; they have the best matchups and even the power to pick and choose games to ensure they always have a good matchup.

So what we're left with on Monday nights is actually a Thursday night, "what else is on?" quality production. The matchups are mostly inferior to SNF (They got so lucky with the DAL-BUF game) and game call is even worse. There's entirely too many lips flapping for the minimal amount of game analysis being given, and the who-cares element totally dominates the weak broadcast.

Best thing to do is find Marv Albert and Boomer Esiason on the radio (Westwood 1) and mute ESPN's call.
Cowboys 7- Redskins 6 (All we needed was 2 minutes of the 60)
Cowboys 17 - Redskins 0 (Way to NOT show up for the 100th anniversary)
----- TWO EASY -----

Last night was another painful viewing and listening experience. I do get more excited about sunday night games now. The worst part though is that the NFL is slowly requiring fans to purchase cable or satalite to even view games i.e. MNF and the upcoming Thursday Night games.

What makes it worse is that here in El Paso there is only 1 cable company Time Warner and they have some dispute with comcast so we can't even get the NFL Network. The NFL may not be a Monopoly but it sure feels like the consumer gets the short end of the stick, especially when you consider how blackout rules work.
Well what more would you expect out of the "Worst Team" in the "Best Division"

Last night during the Giants/Falcons game Jimmy Kimmel was the guest for the entire 3rd quarter and they all took shots at Joey T. At least Joey T talked about football.
