I know you just didn't send a list of 2006 starting wide receivers that includes guys like Rudi Johnson, Stephen Jackson and Todd Heap.
But even if you had taken out the runningbacks and tight ends - not to mention the backup wide recievers you included - all you did was sort the players by receptions.
I'll repeat my orginal point - it's not so simple that you can just head over to NFL.com and check a list. How do you balance catches with yards? Yards with touchdowns?
Your list ranks Mike Furrey ahead of Marvin Harrison. Who do you think had the better season?

Every receiver listed below Brandon Lloyd is either not a wide receiver or played in less than the 12 games Lloyd started in. Everyone listed below Lloyd, except Rudi Johnson also had at least 1 receiving touchdown.
Of starting wide receivers, Lloyd had the worst season. Argue it any way you choose. Send the $10.00 to THN anyway.

It's not that cut and dry - how do you define worst? For that matter, how do you define starter? It's not like he can just check a list somewhere.
Edit: With that being said, only two NFL teams featured a second wide receiver with fewer yards than Lloyd: Tampa's Michael Clayton (356) and the Giants' Amani Toomer (360). But those two guys hauled in touchdowns. I really don't think it's a stretch to say Lloyd had the worst statistical season of any starter last season. And whether he was technically the worst isn't really even the point - we can all agree 2006 was a bad year for him.
He didn't say he had the worst statistical season of any starter last season, he said he had the worst statistical seasons of any starting WR in NFL history, if names are coming up that puts last year in question then what says there aren't other names that are out there from years past. It's not that cut and dry, we agree on that but JLC put it out there like it is that cut and dry when he labled it a fact.
The fact is you and GSPODS spent more time on this little item than JLC did.

This may be a repeat but I just can't get over this......
Take out the fact he just got a $5 million option bonus in March and has made nearly $12 million in two years including base salary to catch 24 balls and no TDs.
I like BL too but it's time to part ways, imo............

I said myself that Lloyd probably had the worst season of all the starters last season -- that wasn't the point. My point is that there isn't a single list out there that can adequately rank wide receivers objectively. You claimed it was easy to find, and I called you out. The fact that you came back with receptions as that list is laughable.
Again, who had the better season - Mike Furrey or Marvin Harrison?
He didn't say he had the worst statistical season of any starter last season, he said he had the worst statistical seasons of any starting WR in NFL history, if names are coming up that puts last year in question then what says there aren't other names that are out there from years past. I guess that's fair. I didn't read it like fact, but I can see how someone might take it that way. It wouldn't surprise me if it's a typo - it drives me crazy how often we see those on all the Washington Post blogs.

I don't think it was a typo, calling it a fact flowed with how the rest of the blog. He was hopeing no one noticed. Had he not tried to pass the statement off as fact I would have had a hard time disputing it, but what good would that have been to the number of hits his blog would get. I'm not knocking what he does (I read him daily), I've even quoted him only to find out he was "mis-informed". At least that what he called it.
And I agree typo are running rampantly out of control with the WP blogs.

JLC isn't the first to make the claim that Lloyd had the worst statistical season ever for a starting receiver. I'm pretty sure that this was talked about a few weeks ago on the John Riggins show. I have no idea how anyone would actually qualify this but I have definitely heard others in the media say similar things about Lloyd's 2006 season.

The claim of worst season is based on 54 targets with only 23 catches. The problem with that statement is that only 26-30 of those "targets" were actually catchable.

Any list of the "best" and / or the "worst" is subjective. We went the long way about it but I think we have proven that JLC did absolutely no research at all and simply blogged out his backside.

It does seem that JLC doesn't like Brandon, but I don't see how boggers are to blame.
Boggers bog down the team with the muck that they rake.
Actually, Dan Steinberg writes the DC Sports Bog, I think it's a play on the DC swamp thing.
Ahaaaaaa...So there's a thing called a sports bog? So this spelling error was not an error? My mistake.
Personally, I've always admired the "on a personal level, I love the guy, but let me list the ways that I want to destroy him on a professional level" approach. Such a good way to have your cake and eat it. Look forward to JLC bumping into Brandon in a mall somewhere - "hey, Jason, I really like how you like me, so we're cool".

Yes, the old "hey, no disrespect intended but you suck ..."
I get that sentiment all the time. Of course, in my case, disrespect is fully intended. JLC is simply one more reason, as though Redskins fans need another reason, to hope Brandon Lloyd succeeds this season. JLC has no "inside information" and is generally full of (himself). His articles and blogs make me wonder if he is on the Dallas payroll.

Just a thought here, but we keep saying, including me, that Lloyd deserves a 2nd chance. Well, maybe that 2nd chance was the deep ball thrown to him in the end zone, the play he admitted he loafed on. Not a good way to show the organization that "you care".
Also, we keep hearing Lloyd say things like... "that's just me and the way I am..." - or - "some see it as if I don't care, but it's just me having fun...". That kinda tells me that Lloyd himself, recognizes a conflict, whether it's on a personal or professional level. Lloyd is the employee, not the employer. Therefore, the onus is on Lloyd to correct the miscommunication, if in fact, that's all this is about. But he did admit he loafed, so it become increasingly difficult to defend a guy who admits guilt and then shows no signs of subsequent contrition.

I've been saying this for awhile, but the "LLOYD FOR PRESIDENT" campaign won't hear any of these lies you speak of!!!!
...any given Sunday....
RIP #21 Sean Taylor. You will be loved and adored by Redskins fans forever!!!!!
GSPODS:
The National Anthem sucks.
What a useless piece of propagandist rhetoric that is.

The Lloyd for President campaign was started by his teammates last weekend, if you hadn't noticed. They were lobbying for him pretty hard. It looks like their opinion counts slightly more than your does.

I do hope we get this guy involved, I'm not big on Reche Caldwell.. His "choking" cost me a lot of mula last year.

In all fairness, and I'm not saying it isn't true, but we've only heard that from Lloyd himself. No other person inside the Skins organization, player or coach, has come forward to co-oberate that statement.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand,
They never will.
I firmly believe the Patriots are the antichrist.

Yea that's a good point. I'd really like to know who these teammates that lobbied for Lloyd actually are (if this actually happened).
