Giants trading for #1

Post by Warmother »

GIANTS: New York is giving serious consideration to moving up to the No. 1 overall pick in next month's draft to select Mississippi quarterback Eli Manning, Newsday reported.

Three sources familiar with the situation said the team is convinced about Manning's potential as an NFL star and that the club is willing to trade with the Chargers, who have the first choice. The Giants have the fourth pick.

I saw this in the Baltimore Sun today.

I don't see why they wouldn't try it. Manning is going to be sick, and Collins is strattling the line between average and good. Their backup is going to be ABC's bachellor.

They could use a young QB of the future, which is why they were trying to get their hand's on Patrick Ramsey when he was "unhappy" a few weeks ago.

Would be a great move by the Giants. I agree with redskins56 that Eli Manning is going to be a good QB.

I hope this doesn't play out though. Would hate to have a Manning in our division for the next six years.

I like Manning but I think they should go with Gallery. He is a monster and that pick would fill more of a need at this time. Collins still has some years left if he isnt doing his best Patrick Ramsey imitation.

i guess it's a good thing that palmer did the bachelor before this years draft cuz he's going to have a harder time getting chicks after the giants cut his crack.
