An article from one of the many local Haters
Here's a guy from our area who, like many around us, hates the Redskins simply out of spite. This guy explains it, though, in a way that makes you feel that you would despise him if you met him anyway

10. Their colors are BURGUNDY and gold. Give me red and white or silver and black or green and yellow. What the heck is "burgundy?" How pretentious can you get? The only time I've ever worn burgundy was the time I was drinking the stuff (Gallo, of course) out of a cracked glass.
That's where I stopped reading. The guy is just trying to get attention.

Enough said. The guy is a continual traitor. Who would care what he thinks?
I live 30 miles north of Charlotte but don't cheer for the Panthers. I don't pull against them either, unless they are playing the Skins.

I believe that would be local "Hatters"
Fios, beware...

I kind of like the way he blithely cocks it just a bit to the right... stylin'!

When I lived in Killeen, Tx, I cheered for the Redskins. When I hung my hat in Radcliff, I went for the Redskins. When I was a resident of SC, I followed the Redskins. I'm now in J-ville

I'm with you. I've been in Virginia, Maryland, Colorado, Florida, Alaska and Germany. It's always been all Redskins all the time.

I just shouldnt have read that. THIS GUY NEEDS TO LEAVE VA NOW !!!!!!!!!!
This is why he uses what ever power he has to talk smack :
1. They beat my Bills in Super Bowl XXVI, 37-24, completely wasting a huge sandwich that I made using a whole grilled turkey breast. There is no way I could ever embrace a team that denied the Buffalonians their shot at fame (and spoiled my enjoyment of that sandwich in the process).

Hail Skins for Life !!

If anyone is bored, you can read my reply to this idiot at the above web address. Or you can read it here:
Nobody asked you to drink the Kool-Aid. If anyone did, I'd make certain it contained arsenic or hydrogen cyanide. Your personal disdain for a professional organization which existed prior to your hatching, and will continue to exist long after your pathetic existence ends is of no consequence to the Washington Redskins organization nor to any true fan thereof. Perhaps your first issue is a self-admitted lack of following one franchise. Go get yourself one of those knockoff jerseys with every NFL team logo velcro'd on so you can change your loyalties with the wind.
How do you define pretense by color? Pretense is calling yourself "America's Team". The Washington franchise continues to use the moniker "Redskins" because for every native American who finds the term offensive, there are three native Americans who are Washington Redskins fans. Most native Americans enjoy the Redskins beating on the Cowboys. Go figure. Joe Theismann has a SuperBowl ring. What have you accomplished that anyone should care about? The Buffalo Bills have had a difficult season. I see no need to insult their organization just to effect how truly useless your mindless rating is. The next time you decide to write an article, have a point. It makes it so much more interesting for the reader.

I'm with you 1000%, I've been in VA, MS, TX, ND,MD, NC, SC,Okinawa, Panama, and the Azores and have always been a Skins supporter. I can't help it, it's in my blood. Like I said earlier, I still don't down our local team. Financially it means a lot to the state. It also helps that they are not in my division and we are 8-1 against them.
I couldn't even read that garbage. I've met THOUSANDS of Football, Baseball, Hockey, Basketball, & Soccer fans from all over the world and the TRUE fans have one common trait......THEY ONLY HAVE ONE TRUE TEAM!
Ever heard of a NY Yankee fan becoming a Mariners fan because they moved to Seattle?
Ever heard of a Florida Gator fan becoming a Vols fan cus they moved to Tennessee?
OF COURSE NOT....Cus they are REAL FANS.....
You stick with your team whether they win or lose! You stick with you club whether you live there or not. I've lived all over the US and one thing every person I know can tell you...... THAT GUY LOVES THE SKINS!
HAIL!

In all fairness to actual Bills fans, and there are many actual Bills fans, their organization has had a very rough year with serious player injuries. I would not do true fans the disservice of lumping them in with this blowhole. Next week this jackoff will be rooting for yet another team.
