Is there any better feeling than watching the NY Yankees lose in the playoffs?
I hate the NY giants but that team is just not expected to win, the Yankees are a team that GS built and paid to win at any cost - it is so rewarding to see any team take them down - Steinbrenner gets kudos for buying trophies and every other owner of any franchise gets slammed for trying to use their money to put a more competitive team on the field
I love to see the Yankees lose but it is especially rewarding when it happens in the playoffs - actually there is really no better feeling that when they lose in the WS - all those NY Yankee fans expecting to win because they have the best team that money can buy and then they lose = priceless
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I am a native New Yorker, born and raised. I hate all New York teams, none so much as the Yankoffs. Fios has me pulling for Cleveland this year because they are his team and because I automatically pull for anyone playing the Spankmes. I have stronger feelings but cannot express them in this thread.

C'mon now, you didn't have to go there!
The Redskins get compared to the Yankees more, that's why everyone used to call Dan Snyder - Snyderbrenner
Making the playoffs 13 years in a row is a great accomplishment, winning the Division for 10 straight is another. Not to many teams have done that!
What team do you like?? This should be good!
As of right now, that would be Cleveland. You know, that team that pounded on New York last night. Looking forward to round 2. Of course, any team that happens to be pounding on the Yankmes is alright with most of us.

I don't begrudge Yankee fans that live in NY. It's the ones that have never even been to New York, like the guys in DC who've never been to Dallas and only root for them because they were the top team in the 90s and because they can hate on redskin fans. That's the comparison for me, anyway.
RIP 21

Oh, so you jumped on the bandwagon? I guess you team is home watching the Yankees too! Sad, Sad!
What football team did you like after the Redskins were eliminated last year? You must have alot of hats!
(Just having some fun guy's, don't take anything too personal) Except that your team is home watching ours! LOL

What bandwagon? If you have read this entire thread you will see that I am a native New Yorker, born and raised. I still hate the Yankoffs. Always have and always will.

I did read your entire post & the 1st line says "as of right now, that would be Cleveland" sounds to me like you just started liking them! Which is a bandwagon jumper.
What's the difference where you live?? I'm was born in the Bronx & raised in Yonkers & I hate the Giants & Jets!
So are you a Cleveland fan or did you jump on the bandwagon cause they're playing the Yankees?
Oh and I was asking JansenFan before what team he liked, not you!
I'm sure JansenFan can answer for himself. I was unaware this thread was exclusively a two-way conversation. Those are usually called private messages.

Not the entire post, but definetly that 1 question. Otherwise I wouldn't have quoted him.
I'm assuming you don't want to tell what team you like since you still haven't answered!
Like I said "just having some fun" so let's keep it civil!
I've never seen anyone avoid a question like you do!
He went to school for that... even has a license.
But, on the subject of Yankeesuckiness... he happens to be right.
Go Red Sox! (and, for the moment... Go Indians!)

Meanwhile, I've grown to like the Yankees.
By the way, guess who employs Frank Howard?
First of all, yes it could happen. While the odds are certainly against it, there is a reason why games are played on the field rather than on paper. You know your baseball history. Remind me not to challenge you on that topic. Secondly, you seem to have had a chilhood fascination with baseball players named "Mickey". Just an observation. Nothing derogatory intended. Thirdly, and this is is probably self-explanatory given your location, but why would anyone be a fan of a George "My wallet power far exceeds my brainpower" Steinbrenner owned baseball club? My personal distaste for Steinbrenner is possibly the chief reason I despise all things Yankees. And finally, I would employ Frank Howard as well, if I happened to own a major league baseball club. I can't fault anyone for that. 6'8", 275lbs., and still looks like he could DH. To date, Frank Howard is the only player I recall the entire infield literally being terrifed of. I think Howard created the "chuck & duck" pitching method.
