Just Like Last Season, Giants back against the wall

Post by skinsrule84 »

Last game of the season last year, Giants HAD to win the game. Of course, we all thought we'd take care of them and stop them from going to the playoffs, but that wasnt the story..Redskins were favored to win big, just like this year..

Hopefully we're not looking at a repeat.

I hope we put a whooping on the G-Strings.

I feel bad for Skip Bayless making that bet with Jay Feely on "Cold Pizza", he said the Giants had no chance of beating the Skins at home and we lost

He looked pretty stupid wearing that Feely jersey the next show

Are we favored to win big? The line I saw was Skins by 3.5 points, and considering that the home team is generally favored by 3 points all else equal, that amounts to being favored by half a point. Not exactly a big margin.

This game scares me. It's exactly the type of game the Skins almost always lose. Let's hope this time things will be different.

Get a dog if you're scared. This season is and will be totally different than past ones. The Skins are legit and people will come to realize that as the season moves forward.

A couple of concerns I have for this game:

1. Eli Manning to Plaxico Burress

The Redskins run defense has been formidable but the pass defense needs a bit of improvement IMO. Burress, if he is playing, can pose quite a threat. Hopefully, we can keep him from getting a big play.

Read this on Giants.com

*Burress is listed on the injury report as questionable for Sunday’s game with an ankle injury.

“He was limited (in practice),” Coughlin said. “He did some things. He didn’t complete the full practice, but he did a few things and we will see. It is going to be one of those deals depending on how he feels on game day.”

I, for one, am hoping he doesn't play.

2. Derrick Ward

This young RB really kinda reminds me of Brian Westbrook in a way. He is pretty quick and likes to catch passes in the flat. We will definitely have to keep a couple of spies on him to prevent him from having a big, Tiki Barber, like day.

This game is gonna be no walk in the park, people. This is NFC EAST football! Expect a tough fought game!!!

I actually had a better feeling about the Eagles, however, I am confident we will win this game. I think this team is a winner and will make fans feel good with a double digit W this week.

Just sucks the bye week is so early. I think the last time we started 3-0 our Bye was in week four, and kind of slowed our momentum.
SPIT HAPPENS!!
