Will Tom Coughlin be fired if the Gnats don't improve?
Am I bad for enjoying watching the Giants in misery? Am I a bad person for enjoying every minute of them unraveling and coming apart at the seams?
I think it's fairly obvious that if the Gnats don't turn their season around in a hurry, Coughlin will be out as HC. Very rarely is there a team where the HC is despised by the very players he coaches. Sure, players don't like some of their coaches, but the Gnats simply don't like, or respect Tom Coughlin. A recipe for disaster!!
I'm glad they stuck with Coughlin for another year, it just prolongs the rebuilding project that's undoubtedly coming in NYC.

Sit back and watch the Redskins.

The Redskins already have dibs on him for next year!
Joe Gibbs is under contract for next season and he doesn't walk out on his teams the way Bill "How did I get so over-rated" Parcells does. Not to mention, the Redskins have several assistant coaches who would be qualified for the head coaching position if Joe Gibbs does decide to go back to NASCAR. I don't see Cower coming to D.C.

I am also really enjoying this - there were a number of us who predicted that this was a bad fit and the Eli mess created by Accorsi certainly did not help. Barber has stated that he would still be playing for the Giants if Coughlin were not there

It is really difficult to remove a coach in mid season given that the systems installed has to stay the same - it is virtually impossible to bring in a new coach and change everything that needs to be changed to make the team better and give them a better chance to be successful. I do think that Coughlin will be gone - I just do not see it happening soon
I hope they do throw him out early, that would be a disaster - this could not happen to a better bunch of guys

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Hey JP! - how great would it be if the iggles and the giants lose this week and then next week (week #4) the giants "host" winless iggles on Sunday night
To project a truly great horror picture - Week 6 could be a Monday night game between 2 teams at 0-5 - The mighty NYG at Atlanta
I am not counting my chickens here as we still have some issues - we have been very lucky IMO because both team's QBs played terribly and while we can count both games as a W in reality both the Dolphins and the iggles played really bad at crucial times and we were lucky.
I am particularly disapointed in that, for all the off-season work with his receivers, Campbell is not exactly looking like all that work is paying off
Don't get me wrong, he is not doing a bad job but we were led to believe that he was going to do whatever it took to make sure that they were all very familiar with each other. Campbell is still a work in progress and from what I saw in the first 2 games he is not releasing the passes as quickly as he needs to - there were some last night that were on the way before the WR turned but the defensive backs are not going to play as badly as they have for these 2 teams and he better get those passes away a lot quicker or he will be in a lot of trouble.

If you guys are bad, you've got company. I've hated the Giants as long as I've loved the skins. They beat us twice in 1955, costing us the conference title.
I hope they keep him for years to come.
Skins fan since '55

Cowher is good but do we really want him here? The Giants can have, say, Parcells again.
