HOGNOSTICATIONS 2007: NFL Week 2

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

No, it is not there yet. I am only giving advance notice in order to allow you to prepare your picks on time. It takes a couple of days after Monday to do the work. We have nobody working full-time on Hognostications.

Actually, I believe the picksheet was up when your posts were made... and is now... try clearing your computer's cache and refreshing the page to make sure that your browser isn't just loading last week's page from memory...

So far I have a walloping three picks in... it's not a lot, but obviously they found the picksheet page for week two.

I try to post the new picksheet and the weekly and season standings on Tuesday mornings...

Boss is quite right (obviously). I didn't see the week 2 picksheet at first, but a quick cache clear and a refresh does the trick. Not that there's any point anybody else putting their picks in, now that mine are in - probably a perfect week this time.

So pick away...

RiC... Don't even try to sway my Crystal Ball. I dusted it off for this week. It was very dusty as evidenced by last week's results.

Couple of comments...

1 Looks like there is an excellent chance that the tiebreaker will determin who wins among a large group of players...

But, but, but, but they're just trying to win Fios. They want to win the pool. They are better than you for not letting their heart get in the way.

Funny how the traitors never take home the Hognostications belt...

Karma.

There is a part of me that always wants to pick our NFC East opponents to lose. But I can't go that far.

Do not let me miss the fun. I have been busy at work with limited chance to follow the threads. I gave ample warning in advance.

We have a partial score so far this week:

Real Redskins Fans 35, Yellow Traitots 6

The inductees in the YELLOW TRAITORS HALL OF SHAME so far this season are:

foggy28
Jake
LobsterMan
redskins89
Skinsfan33
Welb

Enjoy your Philthy pick YELLOW TRAITORS!

Yes, please go on to tell me now how great fans you REALLY are.

You are safe as long as you do not pick against the Skins. This is a WASHINGTON REDSKINS board, everybody else in the NFL is the ENEMY.

ROTFALMAO

I love the score line, but what is surely a typo makes it even funnier.

I know we had this very same conversation last year but, in my eyes, it does make you less of a fan. You are hoping, on some level, that the team you root for loses because it validates the pick. Now, people can get up-in-arms and say "I'm still going to root for them, I still love them" blah blah blah but all that means is the traitors mostly want the Redskins to win. In this context, a loss is beneficial to them. And what I find truly sad about this is that there is NOTHING involved except bragging rights. This is the least understandable forum in which to pick against the Redskins. If money were involved I would actually consider that a mitigating factor. But since you get not even a single dime for this, picking against the Redskins is inexcusable.

I go that far and when nfc east plays nfc east, I weigh either the team I hate the most or the team we need to lose to help us out in the playoff hunt.

The above is plain old loser talk.

If you've ever competed at anything (Madden, anyone?), you know bragging rights mean a lot, especially among your boys. My 2 cents
