FYI Aqua4Ever04: Betts averaged 3.4 ypc with 59 yards on 17 carries to compared to Ronnie's 2.9

Thanks for stopping back in. I think you can see now what we were trying to convey about our defense. I do believe you have some things to look forward to with Cameron as your head coach, your offense may not be as bad as some would have thought. Good luck the rest of the way and may we meet again!

If he comes back and talks about the game, I'll respect him, but I'm not holding out hope. The score should not have been nearly as close as it was.
Straight class dude.
How was the score not indicitive of the play? David Martin and Marty Booker dropped everything today. If Martin catches one of those first downs we probably win the game.
Any way, I was wrong about your defense, it is good. Our defense was good against Campbell but Betts and Portis got the best of us. That's a hell of a 1-2 punch you got there. I probably won't be back much after the next couple of days so good luck the rest of the way guys.

Your D got better in the secondary it seems but you guys did catch some breaks.
Can't believe lloyd didn't get that TD and the Fred Smoot drop INT should of helped .But you guys might of found a QB to lead you guys cause he read are D pretty well and the skins need to next time bring in the LB's to blitz or even landry.
But don't worry Fins are going to end up A good team.

Wow, you showed me wrong. Do you really want to talk about the game? We had several scoring opportunities that we missed on. The Moss overthrow early. Brandon Lloyd not making the catch on the second INT. The obvious offsides that went uncalled on the "sack" play that probably knocked John Jansen out for the season, and possibly his career. Drops happen. Believe me, we had Rod Gardner on our team, we know all about dropped passes. That was probably even on both sides. I will say, it took balls to go for it at the end of the 1st half. You don't see that much in the NFL.

That almost INT sunk my heart, should've been caught and Green's only mistake all game. That's what I'm most excited about, finally having a QB.
I hope you're right, and as for you guys, I'm actully rooting for you fellas in the NFC East. Go get 'em.
I'm upset about losing Jansen, that will hurt us, and possibly put Jason on his back alot more; having said that what a great victory, I thought Fred Smoot flashed and could've made a pick to win the game, Oh Carlos Rogers was getting Torched by Chambers, I mean BURNED. I can't believe we spent such a high pick on Carlos and he plays like that.
First of all, kudos for coming back after your team lost - takes some guts.

Green was a lot better than I thought he'd be, given his age and the fact this is a new team for him. But for some of the drops, the game might've gone the other way. Still, he's 37! I can't understand why the 'phins went with a guy who's clearly on the down side of his career, and not a long-term solution. If they're lucky, Miami will get ~2 seasons of competent play out of him - then what? You'll have to break in a new long-term QB again. I just can't believe they passed on Quinn, unless they really didn't like him. You just don't rebuild around a 37 y.o. QB.

I think passing on Quinn at 9 was the right move, I have serious reservations about Quinn's ability to play in the NFL. I do question taking Ginn at that spot but passing on Brady was the right call.

That's fine if the 'phins think Quinn is just hype, but at some point, they're going to have address the QB issue down there in Miami - they've been floundering at the position since Marino retired. And QB play is so crucial in this league. They've got to stop with the stop-gap measures at that position. We'll see what they do with in the '08 draft, in which they'll likely have a very high pick!

I think the Ted Ginn pick was more in terms of thinking about this year rather than the future. Cam knows we have a very good D. He wants to add a Devin Hester type that can put more points on the board in 2007.
As for future QB, we did draft John Beck and he is a stud.

If Cam honestly thought Miami was just a player or two away from a playoff or SB run, he's officially an idiot. Miami is in rebuilding mode, and needs to find and groom a long-term solution at QB. Thinking he could 'win now' just based on D is moronic - the rules favor offense! Ask the Raiders how having the 3rd best D last year helped them. Of the top 5 offenses last year, all 5 went to the playoffs. Of the top 5 defenses last year, only two went to the playoffs. That's all you need to know.
It wasn't the most detailed prediction in history, but the guy who posted this on page 5 of this thread clearly knew what he was talking about.
I'm feeling a strange urge to offer a personal guarantee that the Redskins will defeat the Dolphins on opening day. It might be close, because this is the Washington Redskins we're talking about, but victory is assured.
