I say this.

It first wasn't a bad game but the game of the week epically if we won and won by a FG GAME WINNER.

JC looked good and hes just a lil nervous maybe but he did play a great D team like Miami.Lloyd needs to step up cause that should of been a TD and Randle el stepped up and i had a felling.Moss made plays and he dropped 3 passes that could of really helped but other than that next week i think Moss is going to be real good.

The D in shutting the run was good but what was up with are DL in pressure on the half.Rogers did bad and i think smoot took the job. Also Carter looked good and had 1 sack and could of gotten another in the 4th Q but who ever was starting at 2nd # DT and Daniels didn't do so good.

Overall the NFL is going to be real good this year and attending 90,000 and more fans there is just amazing we really do have the best fans.

Portis looked really good today, I was surprised considering he hasn't had much seasoning. If he's gonna play like this by not playing in the preseason, maybe he had a point about preseason games. Its good to have two rb's at full strength

Campbell needs to bring the ball down, im sure its a simple mechanical error that can be fixed

Moss needs to utilize glue

D looked good aside from secondary. They made Chambers look like Jerry Rice.

Throw to Cooley, I need fantasy points.

I think that some of us need to realize that not every play or down are we going to have a sack or INT or a 80 yd TD pass... We Won...with the things that did not go great or people that did not perform good, we have a few more games before we get all crazy and critize the players since I a pretty sure that most if not all of us can cover better than CR...

I was very surprised during the game today that Springs wasn't on the field all that much, especially considering how much Rogers was struggling against Chambers. He was mostly in on third downs. Well on post game live he said that he played the nickel role today and that he didn't find out about that until right before the game. I find this to be really strange considering that he is our best corner. Thoughts?

I need some input on a few things because I cant seem to figure out

1) why are our DB's giving the Miami recievers a 10 yard cusion (are they that fast?)

2) when are they going to figure out that the #3 reciever is James Thrash (he just needs to be utilized)

3) why did we not continue poundin the ball down their friggin throat, instead of kicking from 40 yards out?

But a win is a win and I was very pleased with the O- line today, clearly we will be number 1 in run Defense, and Frost kicked like a mule. Many more positives than negatives today. We have everything we need to win at Philly next week just polish it up a bit

One game into the new season and th refs are already in mid-season form. I grow weary of poor officiating week in and week out.

I don't know what that was about. I'm hoping they were just giving him a little more rest for the hammy.

Smoot is winning the job and for some reason all they did was trow short at the RB and threw to Chambers. We might need to watch that cause we didn't blitz at all with are LB's and we need to start doing that.

I think we have 3 very solid corners on our team, and that is great for depth. It will be interesting to see how they progress throughout the regular season.

Rogers should be moved to the bench if he is going to give everyone a 10 yard cushion. At least Leigh Torrence is fast enough to make up the cushion. The only reason to give that type of cushion is if the receiver is much faster than the defender. I think my mother runs faster than Chris Chambers.

Did anyone notice?

Betts seemed to be clearly upset with the play calling to run off tackle (several gestures to the sidelines). I happen to agree, when you have a team with speed on D, you run directly at it rather than allowing them to persue. He must have got his point across because they started pounding the middle and hitting them for big chunks after his last protest

My God! Most of you sound like Ravens fans. They are the only ones that I know that complain this much after a win. Was the game perfect? No. Would that kind of play beat the Colts? No. But it did beat the Dolphins and that was the goal.

Lloyd Sucks! Cooley can't Block. Carlos Sucks! The play calling sucks. What team do you guys root for?

It was your team playing and beating an AFC team at home to start the season. This is the team that we have and I think that they will win 9-10 games for us this year.

It's ok to realize that we need room to improve, but I think that it sucks that some of you are trashing our players after one game. The way I look at it is this; Cooley, Moss, Lloyd, Rogers, Campbell and Definetly Jansen had bad games and we still managed to win.

What about the job that Portis and Samuels, our "bigest question marks," did? Samuels was lights out against Jason Taylor (the encroachment play doesn't count in my mind). Portis did a hell of a job for a guy with ring rust. What about Suisam and Frost. The kicking game is vastly improved over Hall and Conway (remember that guy?). The play calling was beautiful. The dolphins line two LB's out wide to the left and we shovel pass it right down the middle. The TD drive out of the halftime break and the power running at the OT period were the Coaches influence! How bout the great job they did to coach up an undrafted Rookie to replace Jansen on short notice.

There is a lot to be positive about, but I don't see much of that here.

Chris Chambers is one of the faster WR's in the league....don't believe me? Ask Gregg Williams. Thats why the year we drafted Taylor Gregg put him up against Chambers one on one to teach him a lesson about game speed in the NFL.

I suppose I should have started my post with the positives first, the 3 things that I posted negatively were to arrouse a bit of a discussion on those points. I litterally wanted to hear you guys opinions on those.
Overall the game answered alot of questions I had going into the season and I'm much more comfortable now, seeing what we are going to be working with. but my comments were never intended to be a negative reflection on this team or the win.

Personally, I do not use the word "Sucks" or any variation of the word. We here at Hogs.Net can express ourselves with more educated terminology. I think the point everyone is making, in one form or another, is that there is room for improvement. The Dolphins aren't exactly world beaters and the Redskins play several teams where an effort like today's will not be nearly enough. Those Redskins fans who have seen the team go from consistent excellence to consistent disappointment have very little, if any, patience left for poor efforts from individuals or from the team as a whole. Most of us cannot fathom another 15 "this is a test of the cardiac arrest system" type games. Many positive remarks can be found in the thread titled "What It Means to the Redskins to be 1-0".

What exactly has Rogers done to qualify him as "solid"? He constantly gets beat, hardly ever makes plays, and celebrates when opposing receivers drop the ball even though he had gotten beat on the coverage.
