2007 NFL's Fastest Man....?

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Who is it this year......? Does anyone know?

Wow, I remember when #28 D. Green was once NFL's fastest man.

Justin Miller won the NFL's Fastest Man Competition at the Pro Bowl.

The Jet's backup CB beat the Jag's CB Rashean Mathis in a photo finish.

I remember when #28 D. Green was eight times the NFL's fastest man. He never entered the competition and lost, even when he had the stomach flu. Eventually, he just stopped running in the race. I guess he just wanted to give the kids a chance to win. 8)

a few years ago he participated just for fun and was really close to winning. it was pretty impressive for a man his age to keep up with the people racing...

also brian moorman, the bills punter was involved and he was pretty freakin fast too. but that was like 2-3 years ago i think.

Darrell Green is the man!

Devin Hester didn't enter it I think on advice of that moron Neon Deon Prime Time $how Time Loud Mouth Big Head Sanders.
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom – for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

And if there were any way we could go back and slap the Danny before he ever made the decision to hire Deion, I think most 'Skins fans would take it. Not the FO's most shining moment.

D Green is probably still the fastest man in the NFL. Who ever beat him?

This is not just nostalgia...OK, it is partly nostalgia...but remember that Green ran one and two all his senior year with Carl Lewis in various NCAA races. If Green hadn't signed with the Redskins, he'd have won individual gold or silver at the '84 Olympics, and certainly would have won gold on a relay.

Probably the fastest player ever in the NFL.

I suspect that he could woprk out for a few weeks and burn all the competition.

Man....what was his secret, I wonder? Fast twitch muscles...?

I remember when Green was back about 20 yrd and still ran down the guy who was in full stride.... Best highlight ever.

Do you mean Tony Dorsett, Hall of Fame RB for the Cowboys? Among the fastest RB's in the NFL in 1983, when Green was a rookie...Dorsett was sprinting down the field (and FS Mark Murphy was many good things, but fast was not one of them!) until Green ran him down from behind. I think Green had to come from the other side of the field, no less.

Green (and Petibon) always said that Green played his first three or four seasons on speed...using that speed to make up for coverage mistakes.

By about '86 or '87, Green had developed his skills...his ability to know where to move before the receiver...and after that it was such a shameful mis-match, no matter who the WR was, that teams always threw away from Green. I think Barry Wilburn led the league in interceptions one year because nobody would test Green...evry pass went to Wilburn's man.

OK, not quite on-topic, but anything that gives us an excuse to remember players like D. Green is worth it.

Ahhh man. Thanks for the memories. I need that highlight flick saved on my hard drive so I can watch Green hunt down Dorsett, over and over again.....

Anyone here know where I can get that highlight...?

I remeber back in the day the Skin and Pukes used to have a charity track and field event. In the 100 meter dash Darell set a world record. However, not being a sanctioned event the time was not excepted by track and field records keepers.
