THN.net visor

Post by Kearney420 »

I was looking in the photo gallery and noticed pics of Monk with the THN.net visor. Where do I get one?

There was only like 5 made back in the day. If there was enough interest, we could look into making more.

How about giving one (as an equivalent of the Lombardi Trophy) to the THN Hognostications Champion in 2007?

It will fit me well.

I remember Jock Strap - he was a great bagpipe player.

Are you sure you're not thinking of Jacques Strauxeaup, famed French cigarette smoker and philosopher?

I'm reasonably certain that I'm not thinking of him, and never have done. :)

Wow... sorry i missed this thread somehow.

People always say they're interested and then like 4 people follow through and actually buy one.

The visors are great, I can't believe that mine is still standing with all of the wear it's taken. Bit stinky though...

The only problem with the visors is that they wouldn't be cheap. The ones we had done up had the logo embroidered on, and with the logo font... it's a lot of stitches... which is what your costs are usually based on... we pay more for the stitching than the visor itself. it'd be virtually impossible to offer the visor for less than about $20-25.

But I'll tell you what I'll do... I'll take pre-orders for a week or two and see how it goes. If I get enough pre-orders to order a batch, then i'll go ahead and do them up.

I'm also going to do up a new t-shirt. So maybe we can have an 'introductory special' or something. The shirts I'm going to do anyway... but the visors will depend on how many of you pony up in this thread and say that it'd be worth the requisite $20-$25 to you. I'll also play with a slightly more simplified logo that might briong the cost of the stitching down a little bit.

If we DO end up making the visors, then I'll say right now that the winner of this year's hognostications will get one, and so as to be fair, so will the two former champions... but ONLY if there's enough interest to have a batch done up. (likely at least two dozen)

Also... if we do get a first batch order, I will replenish the inventory with the sales and have them more readily available.

Fair enough?

Further to that, i just have to say that seeing Art monk on stage in our visor was just darn dreamy. George Starke got one that day as well... it doesn't get much better than giving the original Head Hog, and Art Monk a THN visor in the same day!!

I don't want to rain on anybody's parade but I can't see paying for half of a hat ... Visors work great for people with hair ...
Visors aren't so good for bald guys ...
Maybe a few hats could be done up as well if there is enough interest.
Definitely interested in the shirts ... might check into the cost of having them airbrushed if the Boss approves.

I don't wear visor either (although I have a full head of hair, growingly gray  ) But I've got a nice spot on the wall for it :D

I'm good for a hat too BH if you go that route.

Couple of things... while i appreciate the offer, we have a system in place for our t-shirt stuff, and we're happy with it. If you know somebody who does air-brushing and would like to get a mock-up or quote of something that you think we might be interested in, please do and email me privately.

Half a hat? :hmm: Maybe we could make yarmulkes out of the other half...

See this is why we don't have visors or hats... you just can't order 'a few of each'... and there are so many different hat 'tastes' that some would want one thing, some another... ok, so why don't we add, 'State in the thread whether you'd order a hat or a visor or either one regardless.

As for visors not looking good on bald guys, I'm sure there's a few pics of hailskins in his visor somewhere... he looks good in the visor... you know... like in a very ungay 'looks good' kind of way.

Also, Art Monk doesn't have quite the head of hair that BH has, and I think Art looks amazing in the THN visor!
If men can run the world, why can't they stop wearing neckties? How intelligent is it to start the day by tying a little noose around your neck?
