Good point. Then that would make Trent Green one sneeze away from retirement. The old man couldn't even beat out a guy named Damon Huard on a weak KC team. Dude, they got rid of Green for a reason. Unfortunately for you, the Dolphins are always last to figure stuff like that out.

Aqua4Ever04 wrote:Yeah, the rookie is suddenly the biggest hitter? Look, Landry is nice, but if he's the guy I have to worry about rushing my quarterback, I'll take my chances.

You're right. Landry merely joins a long list of big hitters on our defense, along with Taylor, Fletcher and Washington. Springs and Rogers are also extremely physical players. That's the style of a Gregg Williams defense. By the way, your ignorance is becoming laughable at this point. Just go to youtube.com and take a look at what Landry does to opposing QB's. As with the majority of what you post, it's obvious you have no clue.

You have yet to address the issue of depth, which, by the way, I didn't think you would, because you can't. All we hear is Brown, Chambers and Porter... blah... blah... blah. Three players, great. I noticed you didn't even mention Thomas or that weakazz secondary. I guess you realize Thomas is also over the hill and you have no secondary.

Matt Roth? Vonnie Holliday?

ROTFALMAO Dude, stop... please... you're killing me! ROTFALMAO

BTW - Yes, I'd say that Marino, Carter, Mare and Byers have far more insight into the Dolphins organization than you do.

I just don't understand this idea. How are you definitely the better team? Brutal defense? You guys ranked 31st last year, yeah you have some upgrades but you do know that we ranked 4th right? Not to mention, Joey Porter is on our team now.

Last year was an aberration for this defense. The fins have absolutely no shot a week from tomorrow.

Yeah well the Dolphin defense ranking 4th on defense was not an abberation. Not to mention we actully have a QB now for our offense.

We stand a very good chance, it'll be a tough game, but I'll be very upset if we lose to the Skins. It's very clear that the Dolphins are obviously the better team.
By QB you mean the 52 year old who used to be our backup? You epitomize the national view point on the Skins so I will be so happy when we make tuna from the Dolphins on Sunday.

Compare the Trent Green now to the Trent Green in his first couple of seasons, that sounds brilliant. :?

compare this years defense with the depleted injury riddled defense from last year also brilliant. Hey keep your head up, if the Trent Green thing don't work out maybe next year we'll trade you Collins or Brunell.

um yeah too bad joey porter is awful. he's just loud and outgoing, what the people and media love, so he just gets a lot of hype. he's not reliable at all. im willing to bet that he makes your team worse, like Archuleta did to us.

And the reason we ranked 31st last year is cuz we had a plethora of injuries in our secondary and DL.. but now everyone is 100% and we have depth. we are ready to be as good as we were in 04 and 05. you'll just have to wait until we beat your team to see it..

I got 60 sacks and 10 picks (1 of 2 players to ever do that) that says Porter is pretty damn good.

Excuses, excuses, your defense sucked and will have no chance of stopping Ronnie on Sunday.

you say porter is good, but you give me that good for nothing stat. In the past 3 years he has made a total of 167 tackles 25.5 sacks. and 5 INT.. that is just amazing. i gotta tell you. thats a great pick up there. money well spent. all he is is a poor mans shawne merriman who doesnt take steroids. so you can have your joey porter. i'd take some one from our practice squad over him any day.

and so we sucked last year in defense.. i told you why. injuries. it happends. at least we arent 1 of 5 teams to not make the play offs in the last 5 years. congrats on that

Listen bro, I live in South Florida and most Fins fans here have a realistic and rational perspective on Green. He is a band aide that maybe has a year or two left in the tank, and most fans here recognize that.

Trent Green was nothing before he went to Kansas City. The VAST majority of his success with the Chiefs was directly attributed to their offensive coordinator, Al Saunders, who happens to be our current offensive coach. Green is one big hit and one concussion away from retirement, and Mr. LaRon Landry very well may be the one to expedite the end of Trent's career.

Where is your depth, on both sides of the ball? I'll grant you that your defense has been decent over the past few years, but what has that gotten you? Your defense is aging, you have no secondary, and absolutely no depth for rotation.

On offense, again, where is the depth? You have a decent RB in Ronnie Brown and a decent WR in Chambers. That's it. Ginn is as green as you get, but I'll grant he is an upgrade over Booker at WR. If Green and Brown miss any time at all, do you really think Cleo Lemon and Jesse Chatman will do anything for that offense? Even Shula and Marino talk here on the TV and radio about the horrible o-line and the lack of depth, on both sides of the ball.

I am a former Class-A PGA Golf Professional. I was the 1st assistant at Adios Golf Club in Deerfield Beach, FL for several years. Adios Golf Club is a private, millionaires mens club, with many professional athletes as members. I no longer work there but am still good friends with the General Manager of the club, Arther Cobb, and still play there from time to time. Dan Marino is a member at Adios and I have personally had several conversations with him over the years regarding the Dolphins. Several months ago, before Trent Green was signed, the foursome of Dan Marino, Chris Carter, Keith Byers (all members) and Olindo Mare were in the pro shop at Adios talking football. ALL of them shared a good and long laugh about the idea of Cleo Lemon leading this team. There is no depth on that team and everyone knows it.

So say what you want, it just comes off as mindless and uninformed chatter. I can appreciate that a fan wants his team to be successful, but you fail to recognize that simple FACT that if the Dolphins were to lose 2 or 3 players, for any length of time, the team has no chance. Additionally, the Dolphins have all new coaches, a new QB and a new playbook. Do you really they've had enough time together to be a cohesive or integrated unit? I didn't think so. Not only do the Dolphins need some luck against the Skins September 9th, they'll need quite a bit of luck to manage the entire season.

I'm so damn sick of hearing that. EVERY PLAYER IN THE NFL IS ONE HIT AWAY FROM RETIREMENT!

Yeah, the rookie is suddenly the biggest hitter? Look, Landry is nice, but if he's the guy I have to worry about rushing my quarterback, I'll take my chances. What are you going to do when you have the best pass rusher coming at your guy along with Joey Porter, Matt Roth, Vonnie Holliday and Channing Crowder. Good luck there. Don't feel bad though, this defense is going to get around 55 sacks this year, every one's QB is in danger.

Great, a bunch of ex-players don't like our chances. Perhaps the guys like Michael Irvin, Shannon Sharpe or Deion Sanders (ya' know, the "experts" on those pre-game shows) would like to pick against us. Big *f$ck* deal.

Hey, I will give you Jason Taylor all day. Great player, wish we had him, but Vonnie Holliday and Channing Crowder? Are you kidding me?

Yep, Campbell looked really good. I still think you guys should get rid of Portis and move forward with Betts. Portis is a bum IMO.

We're not in trouble. There is NO WAY the Skins blow us out. You have a chance to win, but you're not scoring 20 points on us and your defense is one of the worst in the NFL.

My prediction is 21-10 Dolphins. Miami defense forces 2 turnovers, 1 of which leads to a short field and easy Miami TD.

One of the worst Defenses? Tell Chambers to bring his ass across the middle against Landry and Taylor and let me know what he thinks then!!

Chambers over the middle and Ginn down field all day. It won't be our passing game, it'll be the forced turnovers and 150 yards from Ronnie Brown that does the Redskins in a week from today.

.
Tedd Ginn Jr., that first round reach?? Give me a break man. You are counting on a rookie WR to lead your offense?

Yeah but if Trent hits his head too hard while getting out the car then he's like your boy Jason Taylor has put it, "scrambled eggs."

Aqua4Ever04 wrote:Yeah, the rookie is suddenly the biggest hitter? Look, Landry is nice, but if he's the guy I have to worry about rushing my quarterback, I'll take my chances. .

You'd be one of maybe a hand full willing to take your chances against Laron, however he won't be the only one coming, you see the trick is for Trent to know when is will and when he won't. Once he thinks he's got it GW will send Taylor. You better bet Rocky will get a piece on Trent also.

If you have to send both linebackers, I say great the Skins will send Cooley or Portis out on routes where your LBs should have been (they love catching the ball in the open field). Neither Allen nor Daniels can cover Moss and if they and bringing Bell or Hill over to help WON"T HELP because they'll still have to account for our #2 WR (whomever that turns out to be  ). The point is Jason Campbell will open up a lot of eyes this year unfortunately for you it will come at the expense of the defense that WAS ranked 4th last year. Either way the Dolphins might send two LBs once or three times but after that they may never try that again.

You been talking about your 4th ranked defense, well that was last year. Just like the Redskin's 31st rank D from 2006 won't be taking the field next week the Dolphins will be putting a different unit out there as well so can we put that to rest.

Aqua4Ever04 wrote:I got 60 sacks and 10 picks (1 of 2 players to ever do that) that says Porter is pretty damn good.

That was PRE-op....

IF Porter plays, it will take him/them time to adjust to each other, he hasn't played a down with that group and just started practicing. I have to admit once his healthy he will return to forum and even you will realize he's overhyped and overpaid.

Aqua4Ever04 wrote:Excuses, excuses, your defense sucked and will have no chance of stopping Ronnie on Sunday.

ROTFALMAO When you say Ronnie do you mean Ronnie Brown? I know last year was last year but he hasn't done anything in the pre-seaon so that's all I have to work with. Did'nt Ronnie have a lower YPC average and gain less yards then our #2 back of last year? With him and Portis you should be the one worried.

Aqua4Ever04 wrote:Chambers over the middle

Chambers can come into Area 51 if he wants too, but he won't remember much when he gets back to South Beach

You're right it won't be your passing game. I think the Skins will win the T/O battle. Back to Ronnie again... OK. Let's look at his history of game that he's went for a buck and a half.... That was quick, becuase he's only done it ONCE, he has only broke 100 six times in 28 games ROTFALMAO

You love to harp on last year's numbers, and yes, last year we were 31st in the league in D. But the year before that we were 3rd. So one year can make a hell of a big difference. This year, we are clicking on all cylinders coming out of the gate. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the 'Skins were to go undefeated the first 4 to 6 games. They really are that good. I'm always optimistic, but I really see something building here this season that we haven't had since the last time Joe Gibbs coached the Redskins.

Quality of team huh? Yeah, the NFC sure is supperior to the AFC huh? The JV conference can't carry the AFC's jock, you know that.

Let me know when the AFC gets to 13 straight SB. I'll admit that the AFC has been ebtter than the NFC for the better part of this decade, but it is no where near as dominant as the NFC was in the 80s and 90s.

The AFC East only has one good team (a great one , but only one!) I'll go out on a limb (a big strong thick one) and say right now that the NFC East will have more wins against the AFC East this year, than the other way around!

Oh that's right, Miami EMBARRASED the Bears 31-13. The 5 best teams in the NFL all play in the AFC and if it wasn't for the Eagles or the Bears defense, it wouldn't even be close. I'll take San Diego, New England, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Denver and Baltimore over any team in the NFC.

What color is the sky in your world? If you don't think the AFC is light years ahead of the NFC, you have no clue what's going on in the NFL. Remember when the Dolphins played the NFC champs last year? Yeah, the Dolphins that you all say suck.

The sky is Blue (not Aqua).

So you got lucky one game. The last time the Cowboys won the Superbowl they finished their season 12-4 and the Skins were 6-10 AND the SKINS SWEPT the Cowgirls (with Gus Frerotte and Heath Shuler both beating the Cowgirls). Did that make the Skins better than the Cowgirls that year? (heck no!) It just made life in DC a lot better. (by the way I just love telling that fact)

Untill the NFC goes 14 years without a Superbowl win the AFC can stuff that NFC JV talk!

Yes, the AFC has more good teams right now, but they are no way as dominant as the NFC was back when Gibbs was first coaching the Skins. The NFC campionship was the same as the Superbowl then. Yes, the Pats have won three Superbowls this decade, but by a combined 9 points! And that wasn't over the same team it was over Philly, Carolina, and the Rams. The last team to win a SB by more than 2 TDs was Tampa. (NFC by the way!)

The AFC is better right now, but it is not that much better!

I don't agree, and I explained my reasons about 6 pages ago. Aquafan never responds to my posts. I wonder why?

Many specialists have compared this years opener to last season`s Minnesota game. Here´s hoping they are wrong.

I just don't understand this idea. How are you definitely the better team? Brutal defense? You guys ranked 31st last year, yeah you have some upgrades but you do know that we ranked 4th right? Not to mention, Joey Porter is on our team now.

um yeah too bad joey porter is awful. he's just loud and outgoing, what the people and media love, so he just gets a lot of hype. he's not reliable at all. im willing to bet that he makes your team worse, like Archuleta did to us.

Ronnie Brown Sucks, as does your entire offense. Get used to it. And if you don't like the way we talk about our team, then leave the REDSKINS fan site!

Okay, you're a fool. No need conversing with you, bye now.

Again, bring that junk to smack! It's obvious you can't back up your ridiculous statements, so why not do a little research before you open up your trap. Tell me who on your offense we should be concerned with? Your RB who couldn't even beat out Ricky Williams when he was high? Or how about Chris Chambers who caught a whopping 59 passes last year? Or I know, how about your top notch QB who couldn't even beat out Brodie Croyle or Damon Huard (Who??)?

Yes you did!! And you also lost to the Texans, the Bills twice, and the packers. So what is your point??
