Without getting into the specifics of any of these events, I have to say that of course conspiracies exist.

con·spir·a·cy: –noun, plural -cies.
1. the act of conspiring.
2. an evil, unlawful, treacherous, or surreptitious plan formulated in secret by two or more persons; plot.
3. a combination of persons for a secret, unlawful, or evil purpose: He joined the conspiracy to overthrow the government.
4. Law. an agreement by two or more persons to commit a crime, fraud, or other wrongful act.
5. any concurrence in action; combination in bringing about a given result.

Why do you assume that "someone always talks?" I would wager that the vast majority of conspiracies go undiscovered. Also, operations can be so compartmentalized that only a few people actually know the full depth of the conspiracy, or even of its existence.

Its a friendly fire cover-up of an American hero....What did you expect the government to do?

I did have issue with the way the Pentagon spun it as to gain support for the war.
