Will The Real Clinton Portis Please Stand Up

Post by Gibbs4Life »

So my number 1 pick in Fantasy League was CP, but it bothers me just how long its been since he has taken action in a game pre-season or otherwise. Can he hold up all year? Why is Gibbs so willing to let Clinton decide when Clinton plays? Ok maybe thats stretching it but when Portis first started training camp it was all about him having a sense of proving himself all over again, and for the last month its been whatever he can do to not play he'll do. I just don't know what to expect from him this season but I'm hoping for greatness. What do you guys think?

well this not playing strategy works fine with LT and the Chargers and I think Portis, if healthy, has LT like talent so i wouldnt be too worried

I got Jason Campbell as my reserve Qb. I know he is going to have fantastic numbers this year.

He's a vetern, with a lot of carries behind him. 16 games, is a long stretch for a running back, I think the idea of sitting him is siding on caution. I am sure he is conditioning, Miami game is right around the corner..

Folks, your fantasy picks, even if they are Redskins, do not belong in Hog Wash, please confine this type of thread to the Lounge. Gracias!

Good luck guys I got Portis after grebbing L. Tomlinson #1..I am hoping to have a strong year..also have Capt Chaos..at TE..and Fletcher on Def.

I think Jason is still available..I am hoping for 2,450 yards rushing and about 2,450 yds passing..close to the numbers the Steelers got in being so dominant a couple of years ago..160 yds passing a game is not the way to win in Fantasy..but should provide the team with enough to get to the playoffs with Betts and Portis such a great duo
and build towards next year
speed that tackles and Captain Chaos..will lead us to the promised land

I'm in a bunch of league this year and I have Clinton as my second back on two teams. He could win me the league with another strong RB starting beside him like Frank Gore. He could also be put on the bench in favor of Thomas Jones, Fred Taylor, etc.

Clinton is a fantasy wildcard. And because of that he usually goes in the laste second to early third round. I would never pick him up with my first pick.

Don't draft with your heart!
