Looks like Kiesel is going to get fined by the NFL for his hit on Campbell. From Clayton's blog...

Could've been worse: The saving grace for Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell was his left leg wasn't planted in the ground when he was hit by Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel Saturday night. Campbell suffered a knee bruise and is considered day-to-day. Had the knee been planted, Campbell probably would have torn an ACL or at least suffered a bad MCL sprain that would have sidelined him for a month. Keisel's hit was very similar to the one that blew out Carson Palmer's knee during the 2005 playoffs.

Fine forthcoming: Expect Keisel to get a big fine from the league this week. Even though the hit wasn't intentional and Keisel did a great job of looking apologetic after the play in accompanying Campbell to the sideline, a league official was at the Redskins-Steeler game and didn't like the hit. The fact that Keisel received a penalty flag is a sign he will get a fine. It could be a substantial penalty, too.

Sorry if this is redundant.....BUT.....

Just saw the clip of the hit by Kiesel on JC....

That was COMPLETELY ILLEGAL. He was really trying to hurt our QB. The guy dove directly to the back of his knee! They need to submit this tape and demand a penalty/suspension! AND its the same guy who took out Palmer! Thats a dirty football player!

I wonder why more people aren't screaming for this guys head! Especially Coach Gibbs!

Why do you think the Denver line is always being criticized for being dirty? Well because they cut block all the time.

I'm sorry that you are unable to see the difference between a "bang-bang" football play by an aggressive defensive lineman, and a choreographed set of strategies (Denver's nasty blocking schemes) which are known to end careers.

There have been plenty of injuries caused by defensive players making late hits on offensive players, as well as careers ended. The fact is you do not know for a fact what Kiesels intentions where while he made the hit. He can apologize all he wants and even if he cried about it. It does not mean that at the moment he made the hit he did not mean at that moment to injure the player.

These players have miliseconds to make descisions every snap of the football, one wrong descision is all it takes to lunge low. So being overly aggresive is no excuse for hitting a guy low. Whether its coreographed or not if the end result is injury due to irresponsible play it still does not make it right.

So please try to think beyond the Ogre state of mind. Open your mind a little bit.

Dude, that was you!!!?? I didn't recognize you.

When he slapped your hand I took it as a good sign that it wasn't a big injury.
