Uniform/Logo rumors
OK- So as we pretty much all know the 75th anniversary gear is out but here are some other rumors I have heard recently.
1. They will wear the 75 aniv. jersey and yellow R helmet for ALL HOME GAMES this year. Apparently since it's an anniversary jersey and not a throwback jersey they can wear them for all home. Throwbacks are restricted to 2 games per year.
2. New permanent logo. Starting in 2009 they will introduce a new "permanent" logo. It will combine the current Indian head and the old school arrow. They are still coming up with designs but ideas are arrow touching but below or above the Indian head. Or incorporating the arrow in the circle around the Indian head.
3. The current burgundy jersey will change from the current color to a color closer to the 70th anniversary one. The sleeves will incorporate more of a golden color.
Normally I would not buy into these type of rumors but given danny boys never ending quest to squeeze every $ out of the Skins fan base, I am fairly bought in on these.

Thanks for the news/rumors! These changes all sound pretty cool to me. Hope they turn out well.
I personally wish they'd ditch the Indian head from the helmet altogether. The arrow head is cooler anyway.

I doubt very seriously that this would happen. I will believe it when I see it. Secondly I am tired of people making fun of Daniel Snyder. Daniel Snyder does something that people that are fans of other teams wish they had. An owner that was willing to spend. Daniel Snyder has done that and yeah he has made some mistakes but you can say one thing that the man will do anything to win its not his fault that people have taken his money and then not lived up to their side of the agreement.

Sorry- have to disagree with you here. He is not wiling to do "anything". He is not willing to get out of the day to day operations and hire a GM. This is the biggest problem they have.
Until pretzel boy hires a competent GM it will be very difficult to get out of our current quagmire.

OK, so revise the previous post to: 'The man is willing to do anything that he thinks will help the team win.' Obviously I can't accuse Snyder of not caring because he doesn't dress up like a chicken (if, say, I think that's the ticket for winning).
Redskins fans have to come to grips with the fact that, however detrimental we believe it to be, Snyder doesn't think hiring a GM would improve things. Personally, I'd like to see one there, as do most Skins fans. But both Gibbs and Snyder feel like they have that part of the organization down. It's not a matter of willingness, it's a matter of judgment.

What does GM have to do with this? If Gibbs and Snyder both agree that they don't need a GM then leave it alone. Personally I like what has happened as far as the players we got in the draft and free agency I don't like the results but you can't blame that on Snyder and it wouldn't have been any different if we had a GM. We have a very good football team and even some thought that we would be in the Superbowl last year. Stop complaining about what we don't have and appreciate what we do have. We don't have a GM, and we won't, so stop crying over spilled milk.
