Yeah, there is a caution that needs to be raised that this kind of thing doesn't carry over into the regular season.

There's no reset switch in your head. If you get used to a certain attitude, you don't shake it.

That would've been a 58 yard FG from the 41....no problem in Tecmo Bowl

Don't watch Brunell, watch the guys that are fighting for a spot that might actually make the team.

I hear ya but I understand that the coaches wanted to get looks at guys in tough situation. If it were regular season, they would do that............................i hope.

Whats a bummer is that we didn't even get a chance to see Palmer play today. He would have given us a better chance than Brunell.

There's also the chance to work on go-for-two plays -- esp. in situations when the tie is the real no-brainer decision.

I agree that playing Palmer as the preseason #3 is a much better investment for the future of the team than watching Brunell flop around out there.

Campbell looked good on the highlight reel. He was accurate and efficient.

Yup he looked very good tonight. Made good decisions, mechanics looked good, etc.

59 yards is a hell of a kick. I think there are only a few kicks that have been made from that distance because the ball has to come out so high and the distance, etc but the fact that Brunell took the 1 yard dump to the tight end in that drive was 100% stupid.

With all respect...I gotta disagree. Maybe in a year or two...but right now, Palmer is as green as a gourde...and I doubt he could run a two minute drill like that....Brunell did everything he could...he was out there w/a bunch of guys that probably won't even make the team.

Hey....a 1 yard pass for Brunell is equivalent to a 15 yard psss for any other QB ;)

Isn't the point of the preseason to get young players work?? Better to give a young guy like Palmer some work than watching Boonell do the same old crap.

Lets remember that its preseason and we need to find guys who are going to make this team or not. That would have been a perfect situation to see what he could do. Brunell only had one good play. I didn't watch the game on TV but from the radio broadcast, they said Brunell had a bunch of high throws. Typical Brunell Football.

Sure...I would have liked to see Palmer. Agreed. But to say he would have given us a better chance to win is a probably a bit hyperbolic.

I have to say, it really wasnt MB's fault (that time) . I dont think he will be our #2 QB. Collins came in against the 1st string D and played well. But our D will win us alot of games. I think right now they are better than the 04 defense.

Exactly. If Palmer comes in and plays the 4th quarter and throws an INT, I feel like that's progress because a young player's learning curve is steep, especially in pressure situations. Brunell is a proven commodity; we already know he's a noodle-armed has-been

So is Joe Gibbs, but we don't ask him to stumble around in the backfield and float up gift INTs.....

Our Offense needs to step up and win us a game for one. I'm sorry, I know its pre-season but I'm ticked off right now. We had this game in hand and stupid penalties, poor decisions, and defensive guys not stepping up when they should. And thats at the beginning of the drive. We can't always be a great redzone defense. We need to do something when they first get the ball.
