Sam Pollack passes away

Post by BossHog »

Legendary hockey man Sam Pollack passed away yesterday.

He may not be a household name to many Americans, but he is to most Canadians.

Pollack was the GM of the Montreal Canadiens team that forged a dynasty the likes of which will never be repeated in the hockey world. Pollack and his Canadians won 9 Stanley Cups in his fourteen year tenure -- ridiculous.

He went on to do many other things after leaving hockey, not the least of which was serving as chairman and CEO of the Toronto Blue Jays MLB team from 1995-2000.

He was 81 years old and had been battling cancer.

Sam was one of a kind, and as a Toronto Maple Leaf fan, someone I loved to hate, but hated to love even more.

R.I.P.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

I have to admit I was ignorant as to his name but even I know of the Canadians unmatched dominance.
RIP Sean Taylor

I agree No matter what that is a real "Dynasty". I also never heard of the gentleman, but I hope his family is ok.
