... fans complaining about anything and everything before the Redskins have even played a meaningful game of football.

Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

I also want to mention that in 2004 and 2005, none of those descriptions matched the Redskins' D. I think it will be the same this year as it was then. . .
Well in our ONLY game this season...
... the Titans had 84 yards rushing on 34 carries for a 'massive' 2.5 yard per carry average.
... the Titans longest play from scrimmage was 26 yards.
... the Redskins scored a touchdown on a turnover.
We didn't have much of a pass rush, but we also played without Corny Griffin. I thought that the d-line actually played really well from starters to 'scrubs' and was one of the 'highlights' of the team's performance.
Of course, it's one meaningless pre-season game, so some of us won't be drawing any major conclusions from it...

RIP Sean Taylor
It really makes you wonder what some of the NFL fans and pundits are thinking when for everyone who can definitively point to signs of improvement for this team or that at this time with really so little to go on there are a bunch who with the same "information" can just as clearly state the opposite
Everyone, who is a fan, at this time, is hoping that their team has improved some (if not more) than the other teams in their division at least. We all really have no way of quantifying that, yet to some both here and in the "press" we see and hear statements that are just amazing considering the "evidence"
A lot of us here have been waiting for a long time to see things start to get better with our team and I am sure that from what we have seen and read the past month (since camp began) that we are preparing as well as we can for the real season and trying to learn from what has happened to the team in the past few pre-seasons.
There is no way I can accept at this time from what we have seen that anybody in the NFC East has a much better team than we do. All things being considered I think that these 4 teams are not that far apart and a case could be made for at least any one of 3 teams (I'm sorry, the Giants are just not there) winning the NFC East.
I think we will see much more "evidence" the next 2 weeks and also it will not be surprising to see a lot of very good players come available soon as the teams start to cut some guys that can help other teams. The only problem being getting these players "ready" and up to speed to be able to contribute.

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

We won't be starting Hognostications until the first regular season week of games.
Which starts on a Thursday.

That goes both ways. Don't forget the fans who say 'preseason games don't mean anything - Plain vanilla! - wait til the season starts!' when we lose ugly in the preseason.

One of the most appropriate THN nicknames ever.

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

I had lost track of the "short week" situation. I will be in touch with BH in order to get all the ducks lined up. Thanks!
PS Sorry for the double post but I can not cut and paste in this computer.
