I think that fat comment was about shin splints.

Normally, it's something that unexperienced runners get, it does seem strange for a pro athlete who is very experienced in running to have, but it's happened before to better athletes than BL.

Anyway, I don't see what's wrong with signing Pinkston... but my cousin went to Michigan State so I have a soft spot for Charles Rogers. I'd like to see him get a tryout.

I actually like the pick up. A friend of mine is an Eagles fan and I have watched him many times make some great catches. I seen him make some great catches against us, when we were too busy watching T.O. and got burnt by Pinky. Say what you want, but I think he's a nice #2 or #3 WR. His numbers are very comparable to BL and ARE's numbers, but in many cases beating their numbers, beating them a lot in +20 yard catches and +40 yard catches. Plus with his height he'll be a tall guy in the red zone for us.
I firmly believe the Patriots are the antichrist.

Is he the one that thanked his hands for being so great, or was that someone else?

I already mentioned Charles Rogers early in this thread. Mike Williams has already been signed by Oakland.

yea I really dont have a problem with this signing.. he's 6-3 which is something we lack.. now i know hes not a physical reciever but we arent bringing him in to play the slot.. he will be used in a very specific way im sure IF he even makes the team

I like the fact that its gonna push our guys to prove there worth because I know alot of you all dont want to accept this but reciever is a weak point for us..Moss is our only proven reciever right now( not including Cooley hes our TE) . ARE still hasnt shown anything more than a couple flashes here and there .. lets not forget he is a converted QB .. as much as I like him hes just not gonna be an 80 catch 1000 yard reciever IMO .. and Lloyds another unproven guy who seems to be wearing his welcome thin ..so Im all for tinkering right now so we can see what we have

if we want Campbell to suceed hes gonna need some experienced recievers around him to help build his confidence

ARE was never brought here to be a #2. He was brought in for special teams and to be used as a gadget player in the slot where he could shine.

Lloyds lack of production in 2006 and his injury bug this far in 2007 really takes both him and ARE out of the game. ARE isn't effective at #2 and he's not able to do what he's was hired for at that position either. It limits him too much.

I don't knock the team for exploring other options cus it doesn't look like Lloyd is getting back in the lineup any time soon.

Another band aid to a weakness that wasn't adressed in the draft. I hope he shows more than he did; there was a reason he was out a year I'm sure.

They get a pass on this draft because they didn't have enough picks. Thats water on the bridge now. Plus they wouldn't have drafted a WR anyway because everyone was healthy and they're happy with what we have on paper.

Why lord, why? I'd rather Charles "Unbreakable" Rogers....but I guess alligator Pinky will have to do.

I wonder how the uniform looks on him, I've never seen a skins jersey soo baggy.

Todd Pinkston? Shoot me now.

Really, if Espy doesn't make the roster now, he never will. Hope he takes advantage of this opportunity.

Anyone notice a pattern here........

DL is getting old.........."thats cause we didn't draft one this offseason"

OL need help.........."thats cause we didn't draft one this offseason"

We need a WR.........."thats cause we didn't draft one this offseason"

We had to sign another back.........."thats cause we didn't draft one this offseason"

Geeezz how many picks did we have again??

Well, I am not a big Pinkston fan by any stretch of the imagination...but maybe...just maybe, he is hungry after facing life without football? Hopefully he can provide some relief to Moss...maybe...please, God, please!

I think he's hungry for an NFL paycheck. This guy sucks and has been out of football for a while.

The guy doesn't suck...

He's not great, or the best... I wouldn't call him good either... He's decent, he's ok...

I mean dare I say it... He may be a better fit at the #2 position than ARE IF he's 100% fit and knew the offense. But neither is probally true by Miami so whatever. lol

What a concept. Build your team through the NFL draft and don't try to buy a team. We need a GM with a brain first.

this time he has doesnt have to go across against Taylor at least.. the only other guy would be Roy 'cant cover' Williams and he would be beaten anyway

and for everyone talking about the draft.. we had NO picks this year.. I agree we need to address some areas and Im sure it will be done next year where we have all ours picks but the 4th rounder

Should be interesting.

Yes, the trend is shortsightedness. Every team only has 1-2 picks to use each year that may yield a starting-caliber player. In order to fill your roster with youth, you have to draft ahead of what you need for this year. So, for example, the Redskins drafted two DT's a year ago when our need didn't seem as great as it does this year. This past offseason they drafted two LB's while everyone was screaming for a defensive end (as if we'd find a starter in the 6th round. . .)

I think the Redskins have shifted strategies with the draft and free angency, but that we won't really be seeing the full effect of it for a few years. And, actually, the Skins are now more in line with the philosophy of those draft gods the Patriots, Eagles, and Ravens (:puke:), which is what most people on THN have been pining for.

We could have had 10 picks this year and we still wouldn't have filled the needs that members here are screaming bloody murder over. . .but I guess you can't please everyone all the time. . .

Didn't the Redskins draft a couple of young defensive lineman last year? Something like Golston and Montgomery?

Wait a second, didn't the Beagle carry his sorry but for almost a decade! Atleast he just signed a vet min contract and we can cut him with no cap impact.
