Violence is the last thing Pacman Jones needs.

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

The last thing Jones needs is free time.

Its not that big of a deal to go to a strip club. He never committed any of the crimes. He is single and is a multi millionaire. Nothing wrong with going to a strip club every now and then. The Media puts such a negative spin on this guy its annoying.

Jones has never been convicted so get over it.....innocent until proven guilty > guilty until proven innocent...freedom of choice > not being able to do things that are legal (going to strip clubs) if you choose to..living in america > living in Sudan....see the parallels?

So the only time you can criticize someone is when they are doing something illegal?

Bad company and bad ideas, regardless of their legality, are something that I would take issue with in general. I'm not asking anyone to put PacMan in jail, but you'd better believe that I'll point to him as a great example of what the NFL should not be. These guys are role models, whether they wanted to be or not, and making a scene at a stripper club — regardless of whether or not he committed the crime — is poor judgment and poor character.

for some reason i doubt many kids are looking up to pacman jones as their role model. if so, it is a poor reflection on their parents.

No link yet.

ESPN.com is reporting that the Tennessee Titans have obtained a restraining order against Adam "Pacman" Jones, preventing him from participating in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling's event on Sunday.

I can't believe they would have to get a restraining order... why not just tell the guy that they will cut him if he does it

It seems Titans are being very petty or juvenile about this.... Its like they are watching his every move. The guys is suspended... Why do the care if he gets a sprain.. Sure you don't want nothing major to happen to him.. Most of the time when you see a celeb on wrestling they are nothing more than a special ref or something like that. He might get fake puched or smacked or hit with a chair by the bad guy..........................................................................so......................

$$$ and the Salary Cap (oh, and $$$). Besides, they want to keep him on the roster since they've invested in him. If Jones is dumb enough to get involved now, they at least have a legal case and can recover money from him.

NFL contracts are way more restrictive than many people assume, especially with higher-profile players. We can say that it isn't fair (or whatever), but I just consider that part of the price in being in a multi-multi-million dollar profession.

That's true. But the Dolphins let Rickey Williams play in the CFL while under suspension. I guess too me, telling someone they can't come to work but they also can't find work elsewhere is pretty extreme. That's not to say it's unfair or not right, but I'm just surprised the Titans are making a big deal about this.

I'm surprised too, because Pacman has even been in the news saying that he won't be wrestling -- just that "he'll be involved with the storyline." I'm sure he could argue a good case that he's got no chance of getting injured just walking around behind the scenes with a camera following him.

Maybe the Titans view this as part of their discipline??

The Media puts such a negative spin on this guy its annoying.

The idiot did it to himself. The press has not provoked a single arrest or encounter with the law. The press did not bite a bouncer and shoot another, turning him into a paraplegic, nor did they con Adam or his posse to do so.

He is reaping what he sowed. Tough. Too freaking bad.

Or, maybe the Titans suspect (quite reasonably) that he will be cast in a thug role (go figure!), and further stain the rep of the NFL. They have a contract with him, which esssentially ensures that any non-football work is done at the pleasure of the Titans. He signed it. Them's the breaks.

Maybe, but TNA was founded in Nashville and has been involved with Titans personnel in the past. This is just a guess, but if the Titans were concerned about how Pacman was going to be portrayed by TNA, they could have addressed that directly. Especially considering the restraining order can only prevent physical contact, not character development.

So what? I don't care if thug Adam Jones never works another day in his life... and I certainly don't want him making substantial money. He signed the contract... too bad. He can always ask to be released... I'm sure they'd want to be relieved of their cap costs, but, hey, them's the breaks...
