I have it set up with Google that anytime a story about the Skins is posted anywhere on the Internet it gets e-mailed to me. I have been reading a lot of national press and as we all know they dislike the Skins mainly because they like to bash The Danny. I am usually a pessimist, half glass empty kind of guy but I honestly do not know why everyone is predicting horrible things for the Redskins. J. Camp looks like the real deal, the secondary is vastly improved, the O line should be tight, the running game and tight ends are top notch, the D line is worrisome but how far are the opponents going to get before Taylor or Springs or Landry nail them? I just don't get it.
By the way, I am not crazy about having a guy name Dallas and a guy named Landry on the team.
These idiots here in Philly are honestly predicting a Super Bowl...again.

We complain about this stuff a lot, but truthfully people have been burned repeatedly by the Redksins preseason expectations over the past 8 - 10 years. You can hardly blame any of these opinion people for not going out on a limb and predicting anything from the Skins.

Finally, the skins dont have any out there predicting a superbowl run. Seeing as how "they" are always wrong, I hope they all declare gloom and doom for us .. until the season starts.

I was happy to hear that on the air.......
I heard that as well.
Many of us have said and feel that we are "flying under the radar" this year, and I think that's true, based on the player upgrades, healthy players, a stud QB and the second year in a proven offense. The media and other fans have not given us any respect, have failed to see the changes and many still think we have a long way to go.
Well, I like it like that.
I honestly believe that even though the media and other fans feel that way, I'm quite sure coaches and professionals from around the league do not. Mora commented on the NFL Network that this team has a roster full of talent and a quality coaching staff in high regard, which is true. So even though the media likes to hate, I'm sure front offices around the league are smarter than that and will not take this team lightly this coming season.

Well my
is this.
Portis: tendonitis is STILL an issue, and I think it will be until he gets it fixed. He's not Brian Westbrook.
JC: As much as I like him and have faith, he's still got less than a full season of snaps under his belt. He's still pretty unproven.
Receiving corps:
Moss: unhealthy as of now
Randel EL: mediocre
Lloyd: I think we all saw last year
ey: bright star, but he's becoming more known. We'll see how it goes, but I'm still saying he's our #2 receiver.
Bett/Portis out of the backfield: see portis comment. We'll see what happens now that Betts has opened his can of worms.
OL: A bright spot IMO.
DL: <cringe> Let's hope we have some people step up. We sucked last year.
LB: We'll see how they work this year, 1 starter from last year.
DB: This could be a fiasco or could be great. I really have no opinion yet. Smoot was opposite Champ last time he was here. This time around, he's got no shut down on the other side. He'll earn his money if he's the starter. Springs.... we'll see. The rest, band aids. Rogers needs to put out or getout, plain and simple.
Safeties: Taylor needs to be consistant. He's getting better every year, let's hope this is his breakout year.
Landry, we'll see how well he meshes (and how fast). We need him to step in if he's gonna be our starter and stand out.
Notes: Keep Cartright off the offense. Keep him as the kick returner and special teams killer. Randel El is our kick returner and #2 receiver.

Folks, I am posting this publicly because I'm seeing this more often of late but profanity, of any type, is not permitted in any forum except Talking Smack. Using characters in place of profanity also constitutes the use of profanity since the intent is clear. Please bear that in mind, thank you all.
