I stand corrected. Thanks for straightening out the story. Still, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, and hope to really see him step up this year.

I agree with you on the second point. I can't believe people were upset that Campbell was talking with the rookie QBs, for example. They act as if the players have to be 24/7 Redskins football all year round if we want any chance at success. With Campbell it was worse, people act like 10 minutes by the water cooler will destroy his development. No matter how noble the cause, 24/7 year-round of anything will leave a person completely burnt out.

Every report I've seen praises the work ethic of players like Campbell, Lloyd, and Montgomery in this offseason. For those questioning Lloyd based on the fact that he has a website(!!), go look at the pictures of him pre-offseason and during the offseason workouts again. The man is cut and ready to go for this year. Campbell has been looking so good that people are saying "he's a different player." Compared to what we saw of him last year, that's a frightening concept (in a good way, of course). They're doing their job; leave them alone until the season and see how they play.

AKA BossHog and JansenFan. BossHog runs this site, and JansenFan has become his partner in crime, especially with all of the B.Lloyd exclusive content that THN has been able to produce.

What??!!! With all due respect, who cares if Brandon Lloyd gets pissed off by a member's comments?

The "No Agenda" characteristic of THN that he likes so much is exactly WHY it's okay for you to say stuff that might rub him the wrong way.

Don't censor your comments just cause Brandon is gonna read it. My 2 cents

That being said, I, think it's totally RAD ('80s baby, yeah!) that BLloyd will expand his self-promo...er...cd pimpin'....I mean...contributions to this site.

Yes, Brandon, I am well aware that my post just ENSURED that I will have NO questions answered for the entire season on the podcast. Je je. Have a great season. Thanks in advance for improving and helping make this team better. Best, TRO

Apparently, a fair bit. My 2 cents

And you're worried about a player putting up a website because it'll make him lose focus? :hmm:

This is the year 2007, IMO, ANY player who doesn't have a website is really missing the boat in a big way. (If you're a player and you're even thinking about it - contact me). Players have charities that they support or chair, players have alternative interests... some players just want to reach out to the fans somewhere.

What a travesty, eh?

I'm sure Brandon spent hours and hours, heck, probably the entire offseason slaving over the site. He likely went back to school to learn design and coding, then he had to take pics of himself... and all so that he could irk fans that won't take the time to LISTEN to the latest podcast and hear it right from Brandon's mouth what he's been doing in the off-season.

But hey... it's much more productive to spout nonsense and speculate than get it from the horse's mouth, right?

To get to the actual topic at hand... we're very fortunate to have forged a solid relationship with Brandon despite the team's efforts to keep us on the outside looking in. Brandon knows that he can trust us to not twist his words, or have an alternative agenda, and that's why he has and will continue to work with us. And we appreciate the props that we do get on his site... but quite frankly, we've earned them as I'm sure he would attest to.

We'd do more of it but unfortunately the organization behind the team that you all love so much would just as soon we didn't, because we're not an 'official' news outlet. Apparently they're more interested in feeding the vicious cycle of hate between the team and the media, than seeking out new possibilities and outlets who truly just want to bring fans the Burgundy and Gold truth.

Brandon's views and actions prove that we do just that. It's a shame that it's the exception and not the rule, but we're just trying to do our best in proving that we're worthy of consideration. Perhaps one day they will come to realize that a site without an agenda is something to be embraced, not shunned.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.
