Campbell had a great showing in that game, despite the loss. He really caught on fire after the first half (I think), and at any rate had a great streak of completions at one point. Had a couple of nice runs, too, if I recall correctly.

That's exactly right. JC went 16-18 in pass attempts in the second half, at least to the point when he hit Sellers for the late 4th quarter TD. He had a streak of about 9 or 10 in a row at one point, and they weren't dinks like Brunell made famous. He had a nice thing going with El in that game and also hit Cooley and Moss several times with great touch on his passes.

I made a point to watch the game today, as it was the last game of the 2006 season and I knew JC had a good game. JC was very impressive in that game and I can't wait to see his development this year.

Also, the NFL Network did a peice on the 87' Skins on that show called "America's Game". It was hosted by Gene Hackman and the story was told by Jeff Bostic, Darrell Green and Doug Williams. It was great. The end actually brought a tear to my eye. Joe Gibbs is a special, special man. The way he recruited Williams out of Grambling is very similar to the way he recruited and drafted Campbell out of Auburn.

IMHO, I don't think we as fans could have a better head coach at this time. And with a young QB that has so much potential, character and work ethic, I really see this as a turning point. I know we've been siked up in the past only to be let down in the end, but I really 'feel' something special going on right now. And it all stems from one man of greatness.

My 2 cents

After seeing this game, a couple points...

1. Carlos Rogers could not cover Plaxico Burress one on one, can
Smoot?
2. Campbell looked good, Duckett sux, & the Betts fumble probably lost
us the game. They showed a stat that gave Betts 6 fumbles at that
point didn't he only play 5 or 6 games??
3. As far as having a special coach, its undisputable Joe Gibbs is one of the greatest coaches of all-time, not just the 80's , All time. And to me it is a travesty that there aren't behind the scenes cameras documenting his every second on the job. That is my biggest complaint about the media specifically NFL films, Network etc. etc.

The bogus Sean Taylor pass interference call changed the outcome of the game. Shame on the refs.
