Goodbye Pacman (it's going to happen sooner or later..)

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

disagree totally. i usually have a blast when i go out. BUT, i don't surround myself with dumb-asses. you can take the thug out of the hood, but you can't take the hood out of the thug. me and all of my friends can go out and have a good time, without lookin to start sh....... err, stuff. but at these places, there is always the group of big men who have to prove how big they are.

it isn't the club or the scenes fault. it is pacman, and the 'crew' he chooses to hang with. he needs to pull his head out, or just become another statistic.

thats the difference between the 'haves' and the 'have nots', imo. when pacman catches a bullet to the skull, the world will be a better place, as sad as it may seem. /end rant My 2 cents

When the Titans drafted him, they cut to a shot of Jones hanging out with his boys and celebrating. I told my roommate right then, "I'm glad the Redskins aren't going to have to deal with him and his posse." Not terribly surprising.

Weren't we considering him though? I believe the news was we were definitely drafting a CB that year, and Jones and Rogers were considered the best two in the draft that year. Luckily, the Titans choose ahead of us and took Jones, but does that mean if they'd have taken Rogers, we would have ended up with the Pacman Circus here? Or would the team have passed on him because of the character issues?

I seem to recall the team was leaning toward Carlos even before the draft but I just remember being happy the decision was made for them.

I think about the only person in the world who wanted Adam Jones to be drafted by the skins was a TheHogs.net member... can't seem to remember the name right now <cough, cough>

Yes, boys and girls... chose your member name wisely... it's kind of like a tattoo.... LOL!

I'm sorry but I disagree. The clubs, the strip joints and all those places attract all the thugs and bad people. Everytime I turn my head someone is getting shot at a bar or strip club. How about Joey Porter a guy minding his own business and gets shot in the butt

as a resident drunk at a few clubs, i still haven't been shot, none of my friends have been shot...... knock on wood. it's all in the company you choose to keep, not the clubs or bars. i guess we can agree to disagree.

true. but knowing the scene has bad people, if you choose to go there, you still choose bad company. comes down to the individuals choice. i still say it is not the scene. :P

I live in Nashville, I've seen this guy play first hand, I've also seen him in trouble on the news every night and I've gotta say...

He is a putz for his off the field, but on the field he's better than any corner we've got in WAS or in TN, the guy has hall of fame type talent if he could just stay out tha club.

I hope the NFL continues to treat this guy and all the NFL players and personnel fairly. In my opinion Goodell has handled this case well so far and the suspension term is very appropriate.

I am really tired of any athlete thinking that they are entitled to different treatment than anyone else. If these guys think that they can treat others with less respect or are entitled to live their lives as they like just because they are great athletes, then, they need to be banned from the NFL.

So far, the NFL has handled these cases well but they need to keep doing that. They have established a "code of conduct" and while some mistake the "standards" as having something to do with the legal system Goodell just needs to keep enforcing his authority and deal with these issues as it pertains to the NFL and the NFL image.

Most of us will not miss any athlete who thinks he is bigger than the game. I understand that there are a number of high school kids who are becoming problems for their teachers because athletically they are "untouchable" These kids should be disciplined at home and at school and not be given the opportunity to go any further.

I also hope that teams that draft or trade for "questionable" players get penalized as well.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance

minus his off the field crap he really is one of the most talented cb's in the league. What a stud too bad he wasted all his HOF talent going to strip clubs and shooting stuff up.

He is a playmaker. period.

just a dumb one.

I guess he's a biter too...

After Cudworth again tried to restrain Jones, the suit says he was knocked over by Jones' 400-pound bodyguard, Robert Reid, 37, of Compton, Calif. Jones took a swing at Cudworth, who restrained Jones, the suit says. That's when Jones bit Cudworth on the ankle, according to the suit.

I doubt that Goodell would have felt that Taylor deserved any attention at all really - Taylor did not have a long history of living a lifestyle and creating problems like Jones and Johnson - these 2 have basically made decisions that have led to this sort of treatment - Taylor was never as aggressively anti NFL rules over a prolonged period. These 2 went public and stated that they were going to do whatever it took to be one of the better examples of an NFL player and they are still making stupid decisions - This means that these 2 in particular have no regard for the NFL shield and should IMO be kept off the NFL field.

pac man hasnt ever been convicted of anything i dont know why people hate him so much. i guess it shows how much espn controls the public opinion of athletes and it is sad. i know he probably was guilty of all eleven things or however many it is up to now he was arrested for, but there were still no convictions. it kinda reminds me of the barry bonds situation or the duke lacrosse coach. the duke lacrosse coach was fired over a case that was thrown out of court, it's ridiculous how people are convicted in the court of public opinion so quickly now. i also hope tank can find another team, what happened to him is particularly disturbing.
