I have to say JC is going to have a great season. We have basically a complete offence except we have to see if JC will fit well. it would be hard for a receive or a back to really break out because we have so many weapons in our offence we might produce the most offensive yards for a team but it will be spread out so there won't be any breaking records.

On defense I don't have a clue I like the direction we are headed in but it’s hard to say who’s really going to step out and lead the pack.
on to the superbowl

CP - 1600 yards (13 TDs)
LB - 1010 yards (7 TDs)
RC - 350 yards (2 TDs)
Sellers - 80 yards (8 TDs)

Hey I can hope can't I.

I think the addition of Landry is going to make Sean Taylor an animal. He will be blitzing more, drilling anyone who comes over the middle and occasionally picking of some passes. He will have the "true" probowl year that everyone has been waiting for since he arrived.

I'm kinda surprised that I am the only one, thus far, to pick Chris Cooley! Something tells me he's just gonna be a monster this year!

He's already been a monster I guess, so I guess thats why people didn't pick him.

That was exactly my thought as well. Remembering how some people were upset he was snubbed for the Pro Bowl this year, I thought Cooley was well past the 'break-out' point. A 'break-out' player is one who makes a tremendous leap in his impact, like Santana Moss in '05, when he basically doubled his production from his Jet years and made the Pro Bowl.

The emergence of LB makes it more likely Portis will have a big year.

And him having a breakout year really is predicated upon Jason Campbell having a break out year.

Cooley has been mentioned as probowl worthy by multiple people, but JC is a virtual unknown. For him to put up big numbers in 2007, that's a true break out.

Cooley, Portis and Talor have already broke out. They have been doing good already. Ladell has also had a great season. Lloyd,Campbell,Antwann Randle El, and Rocky have yet to break through.

Landry will be rookie of the year.

I disagree with one point. I really don't think "Cooley" has had a "break out" year yet. He's done well, to be sure, but not exceptional. I think this year will be his "exceptional" year.

My 2 cents

Agreed. I am just saying with lack luster quarterback play, Cooley did the best he could do so far. I guess with the break out of Campbell then all the recievers will break out, including Cooley.

This is just my opinion, and is not really based on any factual evidence or insight, but I think Cooley will become a primary target for Campbell this coming year. I think they like and respect each other and I really thought they developed a solid relationship last year. I think Campbell will have confidence in Cooley and will go to him regularly, even when he's not the primary target. So I agree with JH that Cooley could have a break out year this season.

From JLC blog...

...I hear that Rocky is being looked at as a real weapon, someone who can be deployed in multiple ways, and is thriving under the tutelage of new LB Coach Kirk Olivadotti And has been a stud this off season. He has essentially lived at the facility, getting up to speed on the defense and all of his responsibilities after struggling to get a grasps of it last year after being picked in the second round. Also, Olivadotti is a more of a "luv 'em up," kind of guy and more touchy-feely than Dale Lindsey was, and the new approach is working well from what the players and others can tell out there.

-This is almost as good to hear as all the Jason Campbell off-season talk. Hopefully he's up to speed now and can just start playing. Home-grown talent good!
