NFL Draft

Post by RedskinsRule56 »

The NFL Draft is getting closer and closer everyday. I am so anxious for it. Just to remind everyone it is on April 24-25th in NYC. Who will we take with our first pick? Taylor, Udeze or Harris?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Taylor but it just may be Udeze. You never know. Until Draft Day, I don't know who we will pick.

If we take Udeze it better be at a lower pick (like #10) that we get (plus another pick) for the 5th pick.

Did that confuse everyone...cuz it almost confused me!

From what I've seen in the Free agent market action by the skins we've made the efftort to go after the D-line with Griffin. I personally think with some fine tuning by St. Gibbs that there is budding potential on that liine and I believe Joe does too. We have made no effort what so ever to go after a safety. With the cliber players that were out there with the likes of Deon grant and John lynch This only tells me that Gibbs is planning on taking Sean Taylor at 5. If Taylor is taken before that which he may very well be there is a million possibilties about what we will do. for the record if Taylor is taken before we get to him, I say we trade down.

Dude! Have you been reading my posts?!?! That's exactly what my plan of attack would be!! If Taylor is available at #5, scoop him up. If not, trade down for additional picks (instead of going after Winslow).

Really? Making no attempt to go after a saftey tells you he wants to draft one? It tells me he is fine with Iffy and Bowen who are the best young saftey tandem in the game IMO.

TE is our biggest weakness, but defense is more important... we need to plug up a defensive line hole here. Welcome Will Smith or Tommie Harris everyone :)

I find it hard to say that Bowen and Iffy are the best young safety tandem in the league... I believe they possibly could be, but i think they still need to show that and hopefully with the coaching we got now... it will get them headed in that direction..

TE might be a big need, but not having a quality TE isn't gonna lose us games... not having a good D-line will...

so i agree, i think it's a 60/40 chance that we go after Harris over Taylor...

Bowen needs work but he has potential. Before Gambit got on the "bad angle" tirade, I was saying that about Bowen long long ago. If he learns to play those angles better (this will come with better coaching), Bowen will be just fine. MARK MY WORDS!

When a coach has made a concious effort to address nearly every position, whether it be a needed one or not, including Tight end, except for one that obviously isn't very strong and you have 1 decent and important pick than yes.

I am starting to have a feeling that we are moving towards Winslow... though I am about as unthrilled about that as the Taylor idea.

Man we need some more beef on the DL

i agree. even if we can't rush the passer from the line, we at least need to be able to stop the run.
