Been a while since I posted, but I feel like fans take the business side of football to personal. If ST is holding out to get a new contract, can you knock the guy for trying to maximize his guranteed money when he is at his peak value due to his age. Also I hate this "play under the contract you signed" talk. THere is almost never a situation where a team does not approach their stars and ask to rework there deals to make them more cap friendly. I would absolutely hate to see ST hold out, but when he is 32 and he has some outrageuos cap number, they will either say rework your deal or bye bye. You have to capitilize on the very narrow window of oppurtunity in this multi multi milllion dollar business if you have the chance.
Do you agree or disagree?
