The 2007 IIHF World Championships are going on right now in Moscow, and with several Washington Capitals players playing for various world teams, the Caps came up with a cool, new 'widget'.
It's just a box that you can download to your desktop, or onto your myspace page that has everything for the tournament wrapped up in one neat little application.
You will get photos, news, scores and more in the application, and installation or use is very simple.
Just visit http://www.washingtoncaps.com/worlds/ to check it out. On the right hand side, you will see a blue 'box' with all of the information and a button that says 'grab it'. Just click that button to use the widget in any of several convenient ways.

May 6 - Oveckin Ejected at Worlds
Suspended One Game
MOSCOW—May 6, 2007— Russian left wing Alex Ovechkin was ejected in the first period of Sunday’s qualifying round game against Switzerland. Ovechkin was handed a five-minute major and a game misconduct for checking from behind. He was later suspended for one game, and will miss Monday night's game against Sweden. The call came at 8:42 of the first period, eight seconds after Ovechkin exited the penalty box for serving a roughing minor.
Ouch. Taking NHL-style a little too seriously?
