Well, he is no where the size to be a tight end. Could he play the kick returner position? Sure, but the 'skins has a very established returner in chad morton. The best possible solution to this would be to have morton and thrash back to return kicks. Both guys would lay the pads down to block for the other. So, this would require the other team to do more studying on how each player runs.

Tight End :?:

Not quite he'll compete for plays as a 4th receiver to strectch the field, behind the committe of Jacobs and McCants as the 3rd.

He'll also be back with Morton on kickoffs, and a backup for punt returning. Remember Patrick Johnson in Miami :?: We won't have to worry about that if Chad can't go.

Sorry. I meant Kick Returner. Yeah, PJohnson was a good guy at special teams. But Thrash will do a good job filling that role.

So, any chance will see Chad "Greased Lightning" Morton run the ball at all in Gibbs' offense? It was fun watching him slice through the defense while running the ball. That is, until he got creamed and realized he's a lot safer on ST.
Back and better than ever!

I would imagine that he'll get a bit of PT this year. He did pretty good last year. He had some huge runs. When he gets to the line he just turns it on. But its just about getting him to that point.

Do you really think that Taylor Jacobs will start over James Thrash. The guy has played in 3 NFL games Thrash is a 7 year veteran.

I would think that Jacobs would start over Thrash. Thrash hasn't done anything since he left here. I'm still scratching my head as to why we want him back, if for no other reason being special teams(i.e. ko returns with Morton.) Jacobs never even got a chance since he was injured. I think he has a lot of promise.
You'll always be remembered Sean. R.I.P.

I don't think Thrash will be too much of a factor on offense..more than likely just special teams and returning kicks..maybe, occasionally on the field for offense.

i don't think there gonna sign & pay him a million dollars to not be a factor.... they did bring him here to help on special teams but i don't think they just brought him here for that... Mortons the main guy for that... he's here to bring another good vet to the WR Corp's and i smell the end of the line for a certain number 2 WR ;)
