I wonder why he is falling on draft boards then?
No idea. It's not like he blew his on-campus workout. I have no idea. As for Okoye not being physically grown yet, the guy had a tremendous workout on his campus:
Profile at nfl.com, includes these tidbits:
Campus workout:
Campus: 4.97 in the 40-yard dash … 475-pound bench press … Bench presses 225 pounds 33 times … 605-pound back squat … 352-pound hang clean … 33½-inch arm length … 9-inch hands … Right-handed.
Bench press data is insane...that's strong for an NFL player. If he's not fully developed now, imagine...
Evaluation:
Compares To: Reggie White, ex-Philadelphia/Green Bay … To compare a player to White is something that can not be done without much consideration … But the more you see Okoye on game films, the more convinced you become that he will not only have a long, fruitful career, but will continue to grow both physically and mentally. He has such great fire and plays with the relentless pace that made White the measuring stick for all other defensive linemen … He has the low center of gravity to play over the head of the center, the speed and explosion to shoot the gaps and the quickness to even move out and attack on the edge … Okoye is The NFL Draft Report's top-rated player for the 2007 draft.
That's impressive.
* Kiper is also high on Louisville defensive tackle Amobi Okoye, another player on the Redskins' radar screen.
"You see a lot of the same qualities in Okoye that you do in Calvin Johnson -- tremendously mature and productive week in and week out," he said. "Athletically and strength-wise, he's what you want."
From the same article:* He said this year's first round talent isn't as good as last year's star-studded first round.
"There's not much difference between the guy that goes 45 and the guy that goes 25," he said. "There are going to be some guys that go in the first round that aren't necessarily worthy."
On Landry:* He is high on LSU safety LaRon Landry -- Kiper's mock draft has the Redskins taking Landry.
"He should be a Pro Bowl caliber player," he said. "He'll be better than Roy Williams, no question."

Stop quoting Kiper (and by proxy, Clayton) dammit

And sheesh I hope he'll be better than Roy Williams. At 6 he'd be drafted higher than Roy (and hopefully, he can cover just a little bit, too!)
