Hate Radio
So long as we're going to throw Imus off of the airwaves for saying hateful things, I nominate the blowhard Neal Boortz to be the next to go....
"This Muhammad guy is just a phony rag-picker."
"It is perfectly legitimate, perhaps even praiseworthy, to recognize Islam as a religion of vicious, violent, bloodthirsty cretins."
Cynthia McKinney "looks like a ghetto slut."
"hell, yes, we should save the rich people first. You know, they're the ones that are responsible for this prosperity."
These, and 72 other hateful facist quotes, can be found here - EVERY ONE of them linked.....

He's just trying to get a rise out of Kazoo, who has said that he enjoys Boortz.
Boortz is kind of funny in that he doesn't take most politicians and PC police seriously, so he ends up saying stuff like what ATV quoted and linked. You don't even need ATV's link to see offensive stuff, just go to his web page every day . . . he posts whatever the hell he wants to say. I'll check it out every now and then, if only for a chuckle.
(Don't take him too seriously on anything philosophical, though. . .

at the least he's an entertainer
That's a stretch, but, so what? You've already included rappers in your previous "ban them all" rant. Don't they say they are entertainers as well? (not that I buy that)
What ever happened to all your previously voiced "concern" about civil liberties? Does that apply only to speech that you approve of?

That's a stretch
From Wiki - "John Donald "Don" Imus, Jr. (born July 23, 1940) is an American comedian, writer, and former radio talk show host.
You've already included rappers in your previous "ban them all" rant. Don't they say they are entertainers as well? (not that I buy that)
It wasn't my own rant as I pasted it from a different author, but sure - rappers aren't comedians but they're certainly entertainers. So you want to put Neal Boortz in the same category as Flavor Flav now?
What ever happened to all your previously voiced "concern" about civil liberties? Does that apply only to speech that you approve of?
I never meant to imply that Boortz isn't free to say those things, nor that Imus wasn't free to do so, either. My intent was, and is, to point out that there are worse people out there.

Personally I'd like to work to keep them all on the air so we hear differing views, including Imus. At least you're reading better material now then Crooks and Liars!

BTW, do you know Boortz criticizes people who express too much agreement with him as not thinking? Rush called himself an "entertainer?" Hannity says he's a "commentator" not a "journalist?"
What's wrong with hearing things you disagree with? Just asking? I listen to Air America and other liberal talk shows all the time. BTW, asking for Boortz to go next puts you in the minority, only 5% thought he was up next.
Neal Boortz poll from Thursday 4/ 12 on www.boortz.com:
Who do you think liberals will go after next?
Rush Limbaugh 38%
Michael Savage 24%
Bill O'Reilly 15%
Sean Hannity 8%
Neal Boortz 5%
G. Gordon Liddy 3%
Laura Ingraham 2%
Glenn Beck 4%

I have no problem with what Imus or Neal Boortz (whomever he is) said, you see our Constitution guarantees us the right to say whatever we want (as long as it is not criminal). Now if your boss doesn't like what you said he hasd the right to fire you. If your listeners don't like it they can change the channel.
Why is it if an old white guy makes a comment that would be tame in many hip hop songs or in many high schools for that matter, he is suddenly the is the scurge of America and must be tarred and feathered. I'm sure there must be a song out there called Nappy Headed Hos.
Heck Micheal Irvin said that Tony Romo's Great... Grandmother must have screwed slave, because that is the only way he could be that athletic. He was not fired and no one batted an eye. If Boomer had said the same exact thing, he would have been fired on the spot!
Double standards SUCK!!!!!!!!

Right on!
The funny thing is people don't realize almost all taxes are already baked into the sales price already.
- The corporate taxes of the seller and all the vendors they sourced products and services from
- Income taxes are paid from salaries paid from....the sales price and believe it or not workers are smart enough to realize they will have to pay income taxes on their salary
- Social Security, unemployment, Medicare taxes again are paid by workers and companies from guess what? The sales of their products
- Taxes on dividends and capital gains reduce the after tax returns of investors who are in fact smart enough to realize they need to pay them, which in the end means the companies have to charge enough for their products to make enough after tax returns to pay them.
- Tariffs on foreign goods must be paid from the sales of the products and services they sell
About the only tax that in the end doesn't come from sales taxes are death taxes and junk goverment taxes
By just putting them in the sales price, we
- Eliminate all the redundant cost of different tax collection methods
- Eliminate the dead wood on our society (tax lawyers and tax accountants)
- Shift more tax burden to foreign companies as they have to pay the same tax rate as US companies
- Eliminate the dead wood of US companies designing deals to avoid taxes instead of being more efficient to compete with the Japanese, Europeans, etc.
- Make the cash businesses taxpayers as they no longer can avoid them since they pay taxes when they buy stuff
Does it hurt the poor? Actually, it reduces their tax burden because the Fair Tax prebates the sales tax for their spending and actually cuts their tax as they are no longer paying all the embedded taxes on the products they buy.
It's just reality, but politicians of neither party like it because it reduces their ability to buy power with taxpayer money.

I think we've only got one or two weeks left until it starts raining again, so let's just try to enjoy the time that we have.
Good point, FFA...
Besides, watching all the crying going on among the adolescents in Hog Wash is all the entertainment I need right now.

boortz for president
must i school the first man who threw a stone at boortz, if not oh well here i go any way. #1 boortz is on the radio because people still listen to him. #2 when sponcers drop him he can leave radio also. #3 we still have free speach in the country. now i don't agree with everything he says but Cynthia McKinney is a total embarasment to this nation she is loud hatefull and takes advantage of being a minority by victamising herself after she punches someone so i totaly agree with boortz. #4 yes save the rich first even though i am not in that catagory the fact is they keep the country going because they pay most the taxes.

Clearly, the name of their debut album would have to be "God Hates Fags".
