maybe take a look at charles rogers

Post by everydayAskinsday »

alot of people are saying we need a taller reciever to complement Moss and to help in the redzone so I say why not talk a look at Charles Rogers who was a bust with the Lions.. it couldnt hurt to give him a workout and see if this past year out of the league has humbled him.. he has a load of potential and if he did impress in workouts which theres a definet chance he wouldnt im sure we could get him for the league minimum and maybe find a diamond in the rough..sometimes a new system and a 2nd chance is all a player needs...

any thought?

I'd definitely work him out but we'd only bring him in for the min. He'll get way more money somewhere. Plus this team is too "holy" according to some.

It'll be scary to see him go to the Giants. Especially with our questionable pass rush.

Why, what's he going to do from the sidelines with a cast on his leg?

I doubt he would be working out for teams if he was hurt

The Dolphins and the Chiefs passed on him, that's not exactly a ringing endorsement.

this year Blloyd must improve/impress or we can add him to the AA category.

Umm... What?

Yeah, uh we're the team who gave AA the richest Safety contract in NFL history...

Just playin with you though, I know you mean if you were the GM, he'd get more money elsewhere. However, we don't have a GM, we have an ATM who would probably give C Rogers a 5 year 20 Million dollar contract.

But don't worry, after the Lloyd dissastor we won't be bringing in any more disgruntled WR's... hopefully.

Way too early to be calling Lloyd a "disaster", surely? I'd rather stick with what we have right now, and see what happens. I don't think any weakness at the receiver position is going to stop us this year. My 2 cents

I didn't mean disaster, more like debacle. (if that's any diferent)

I mean, I'm one of B-Lloyds biggest fans, but I'm just saying Llloyd and Rogers are practically the same WR, and both have had rocky histories. Therefore I highly doubt, no, I know we won't sign him.

We have a dumb FO, but they're not that dumb.
