Trade up for JaMarcus?

Post by COZ »

Anyone seen this rumor? Seems strange to me. Maybe just another "stupid Danny" rumor stirring....

Oh god i pray this is just a rumor.. No need for another quarter back carousel when we finally have the chance to start the season with some consistency. I like JC and can't wait to see what he's got. The one thing that worries me is Danny Boy has been good so far in FA by not dropping loads of cash on washed up big name players. So only time will tell if he can keep from shooting himself in the foot and breaking bank in the process...

No substance to this whatsoever, the team has been clear about its intentions which are to obtain MORE draft picks, not give them the ones they have and some players to draft a guy who would need at least a year to even get up to speed. I'm going to go ahead and say this is 100% false.

 Ever notice that the media always points to the Skins as being involved in major 'trade rumors' every year?

Now, if the rumor was that the Skins might trade up to take Calvin Johnson... then I'd be like.... :-k

They make a mockery of us and it irritates me.

Hopefully this new style off season will become the norm.

... yet the Patriots sign everyone known to man, and they are having a brilliant off-season making all the right moves. If the Skins signed all the same players for the same price, it would have been Danny trying to buy a championship and winning the off-season superbowl.

How come no one is worried about the Patriots "chemistry issues?"

I think by showing an interest in Russell it makes the teams that want our #6 pick a little nervous. If we show legitimate interest in Russell the teams wanting our pick we feel the pressure and be forced to raise their ante. It's a bluff, it's one big poker game. We have all seen how shrewd Dan Snyder can be in business, I think we win this hand.

It'll be interesting to see if Bill can make it work. Are the acquired players set to be starters or are they moreso support players?

I don't think the Pats will be that great this year. Yeah they added receivers, there could be chemistry issues. Also, i heard on the news, Brady is expecting, Not one baby but two from two different women. He will be having issues at the start of the season.

I irritates the crap out of me. Why don't they say that about the Pats.

And besides, it just took a little while for ARL and Carter to get comfortable. We will see this year. I have high hopes.
I firmly believe the Patriots are the antichrist.

Seriously? Look at the money they've thrown around, you think that's for role players?

Yeah! I work with a Pat fan and all I heard about last year was, " look how great Brady is, blah, blah, and that is with sucky receivers too".

Oh wait, what, JaMarcus, is that was Im supose to be talking about. :)

Don't think thats going to happen. I read the link but I didn't see anything about a rumor about the Skins.

...because contrary to what some of you may have been told... size DOES matter. Performance output is greatly enhanced when you have a BIG JOHNSON!

I saw on NFL network late night that the Skins have scheduled jamarcus for a visit to redskins park.

I don't think anything will come of it, but I do enjoy people getting all worked up about it.

Because of the impending threat of Tom Brady impregnating all the women of those players that fail to get with the program. THAT'S how you build a team, gentlemen.

We were there looking at other players yesterday. I think that writers started "Assuming" things and you know what they say about Assuming.

Pre-draft smoke and mirrors

Post by HanburgerHelper »

 I think you will hear a lot of purposeful "red herrings" to keep the other teams guessing and to shake things up. I can't believe that anyone would believe the Skins would draft a QB in the first round with Campbell coming on.

I very much want to call this a stupid rumor, but why are we scheduling him for a personal work-out? :-k I can understand wanting to confuse other teams, but I don't like the message it sends to JC - he's not even had a full season as the starter, and already we're looking for his replacement?!?! I'd like to see Gibbs make a statement denying this rumor, confirming we already have a starter we have confidence in, and have no need for Russell at this time.

Because the Patriots win, so they're (rightly) given a lot more slack.

Has anyone considered that this may be a ploy by the Redskins to enhance the value of their #6 pick to get more for it?

... you hit that one right on the head.. while i understand doing it to possibly drum up interest for our pick and that might very well be what there doing.. it does seem like a shrewd move though giving that JC just became the starter and now hes hearing rumors the redskins might want to move up to the #1 pick for a QB (that cant help his confidence).. hopefully this wont happen and even though they are bringing him in for a workout for all we know the team could have already informed JC of there tactics in trying to get more value for our #6 pick ( thats what im praying for anyway) i think Soup can get it done

I believe we're looking at him for real and Danny will pick him up if he can.
JaMarcus is a true phenom and Danny is a business man. JaMarcus is as big as a DL, reasonably fast, throws with extreme accuracy, and has the strongest arm of any player in the country. He has caused broken fingers with the velocity of his passes, can throw the ball 90 yards when standing up and forty yards sitting down on the field. Skins went south to see him work out and have now invited him to Washington for a look see. It's no bluff. It's a circus.
There's one of us born every minute and Danny knows it.

Russell definetly looks like he has all the tools to be a great player but we would be so foolish to move up and get this kid.. you would think danny would learn by now .. he gets so enamored in players and he doesnt think about the team .. in order to move up and get him we would have to mortgage the team.. we would have no picks for probaly the next 2 years at least no picks on the 1st day thats for sure and we would probaly have to give up one our premier players.. if this rumor is true and not just something to get more value for our pick i say we tie vinny and danny up and a room and dont let them out till after the draft

Pretty much...

And this is the 1st time they've done this am I right? The verdict is still out on whether or not Bill can make it work. I believe he can.

Joe Gibbs will not start all over again with another young QB. And Danny knows it.
