Raisins looking to trade for Betts?
At least that what those stupid Raisin fans think. Over on the Baltimore Sun Raisin site there is all kinds of talk about getting Betts for a 3rd to 5th round pick.
Hopefully, this is the usual BS coming from the fools to the north.
I say we keep Betts at all costs unless Denver packages a good deal involving Bly.

Betts isnt going anywhere. Not even a thought I would entertain. Gibbs loves Betts, and plus he is to much of compliment to Portis.
"It's almost like, you play a kid's game for a king's ransom," he said. "And if you don't take it serious enough, eventually one day you're going to say, 'Oh, I could have done this, I could have done that."

I don't see why we would trade away our young, proven RB - a 2d round pick - for a 2d round pick. What's the point?

After Betts' season last year, I wouldn't trade him for anything less than #25 first round. We're looking at two running backs who could combine for over 2000 yds next season, and that's a very big deal.
Look, it's obvious that Betts is not 100% untouchable BUT unless someone comes along with an offer that blows the Redskins away (and I pray I don't have to say this again) THE REDSKINS ARE NOT GOING TO TRADE BETTS. Folks, do you think the team has maybe looked at next year's schedule and realized they are playing TEN of the top 20 defenses in the league next season? Please, please think this through.

True dat! Also, we ranked 4th in the league in rushing last year. Can't go and screw that up. As they always say, and rightfully so, if a team can run the ball, they will win the majority of the time. They can run the ball with the best of em'.

Thanks Fios - Agreed, almost everyone is not 100% untouchable - I find it hard to believe we would go to the trouble of signing the guy and then think about the possibility of trading him

I really think the offense needs some depth not changes and the improvements will come on defense - Fletcher will help, now we need to improve up front - that 6 pick will be a great player or it will result in some additions on the defensive side of the ball.
The offense is going to be fine with a little tweaking, not through trading guys that look like they are about to be a part of something special.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

He said the same about Springs, but I think he means it with Betts.
However, where there is smoke there is fire. We keep hearing Betts' name coming up in trade offers, it kind of make you think...

Whoa! OK, I see the "JK," But please don't say the "D" word!
I know that its not going to happen. It would probably piss off a few of the "core" redskins! But, It was an entertaining thought, and one that I wouldn't fault them for if they went ahead with!

Our teams name is always mentioned when discussing trade talks, free agent, etc. Sure there is trade talks and I'm sure Gibbs is willing to listen to what everyone has to offer. Maybe a 1st rounder could do it but I think its just rumors and talk. It would take a hell of an offer to move Betts from this team.

Don't you see how this is contradictory? We were fourth in the league but we only one 5 games?!?!? Just busting your chops. I like that fact that we have a great running game, but clearly that isn't the magic recipe!

I knew someone would point that out. You have to have a defense as well.

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

RiC I get the anti-Cerrato thing, trust me, but this trade is not going to happen.
