fredp45 wrote:This thread is about the Skins not liking Branch or Gaines -- I agree with others, don't believe what you hear from the Redskins this time of year. Gibbs is well known for blowing smoke...I'm not saying he's a liar but you get lots of signals that don't always pan out. Actually, a very smart move...we don't want to lay our hand down too early.

When was the last personnel move the Redskins made that wasn't talked about for days or weeks befor it happened. Gibbs may never give you any info, but ther are more leaks coming from Redskins Park, than the Titanic had after it's close encounter with that iceberg.
Every NFL franchise is subject to press speculation, the team doesn't control that in any fashion, the Redskins are known for their scripted interactions with the media.

Adams - Branch, Branch = Adams? I'm with the guys who are leaning toward drafting Jamaal Anderson. I think Jamaal Anderson is our guy, and the best choice, if we are still on the clock at #6.

Vic Carucci -

6. Washington: Jamaal Anderson, DE, Arkansas
The Redskins need a defensive lineman who can bolster their run defense as well as rush the passer. Anderson is the most complete end in this year's college crop.

Pat Kirwan -

6. Washington:........ Jamaal Anderson will be very tempting here if available.
