Bears trade RB Jones to the Jets

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

"According to league sources, the Bears have agreed to trade RB Thomas Jones and a 2007 second-round pick (No. 63 overall) to the Jets for a 2007 second-round pick -- No. 37 overall -- which was acquired previously in a trade from Washington, ESPN.com's Michael Smith reported. "

He had identical numbers to Benson (avge-wise) in the reg. season and the same 6TDs but I dunno that I would have let Jones go. On the other hand, Benson has time on his side (along with a few question marks).

This might provide the trade-down opportunity that the 'skins are looking for. The Bear's 31st and 37th, plus perhaps another later pick or a player for our 6th. I don't know what kind of DL or DE talent will still be available that late, but we could pick up a guard as well.
