Defense, fluke?
well...i think it will be one of the best again, after we get Fletcher and some good young DB's in the secondary, and hopefully draft Alan Branch or Gaines Adams, we'll be in top form again. hey the Ravens had a bad D 2 seasons ago...

See, that's what worries me.
The '05 Defense would be riding the Pride train. Guys like Ryan Clark, Pierson Prioleau, Omar Stoutmire...
And now on our current defense, the only guys I see who have that kind of motivation are Corny and Marcus.
I mean I love Sean and Carlos and those guys, but they don't strike me as the kind of players who play for pride.
All I know is, I want Ryan Clark and Omar Stoutmire back, and that's it.

Honestly, the losses from our #9 ranked defense were Ryan Clark and LaVar Arrington.
If you had told me that we would lose those two, and then fall a few spots, I would have understood.
But falling to 31?
It's not really the talent. It's the desire and the fact that our defense was absolutely ravaged by injury.
Our defense had a busted up defensive front, and our #1 and #2 corners didn't even start the same game until what...week 9?
Yes, we need a pass rusher. But as long as our defense decides to tackle (hi Sean Taylor...wrap people up, PLEASE!), we'll be fine.

Here we go with Lavar again!! Will you guys ever stop praising this overhyped, oft injured player?
I ask again: Ask the Gnats if they are glad they had him last year?
You'll hear a goooooooofaahhh!!

If our offense clicks our d will be more rested than they have ever been since Gibbs returned.
That's pretty optimistic for you, CLL. You get some beach time & a rejuvenated outlook?

Holy typing crap in yellow, batman.
I am not at all a supporter of LaVar. The tenor of my post indicated that we didn't lose much talent at all (and most of the defensive loss was Ryan Clark). We're substantially the same team as the one who was #9. We didn't have "all these holes" in our team a year ago...but literally nothing has changed.
I think the only person now who wants LaVar back is HEROHAMO.
