Clements and possibillities of going to the Skins
As you know that Nate Clements has been released into free agency and is looking for a new team. With the franchise tagging of Asante Samuel, now clements best cb in free agency right now. With the redskins, jets and a couple other teams looking for a number 1 cb this may not be such a great idea for either team. I am unsure of the Skin's cap room, but the Jets have enough room, but Clements wants to be the highest paid cb in the league (above former Redskin Champ Bailey's contract). It is obvious that clements is a top 5-10 cb but not the highest paid player in the league. Sources say that the Jets will not chase after this some what overrated talent whom got destroyed in one game against the texans andre johnson, but if you managed the skins would u sign him

We've got to go for him. He's one of a number of guys we need to fill holes that can only be filled by FA. Our No. 6 has got to go for a DE. We also must have a great MLB by FA. If these things don't happen, we won't go to the playoffs next season.

My hopes are that Rogers trains hard on his overall quickness and speed. He is good physically but needs to get overall speed and quickness. A good hard off season program should do him some good.
Clements may very well break the bank. Cbs are very exspensive these days. Id rather we Pick up a solid linebacker and DT in free agency.

I think that if we do all that we can along the line and with the LBs we will be able to have a very good secondary without having to pay too much. Our secondary this coming season will be really great without spending very much at all on a CB - we need to upgrade our D line and our linebackers (MLB) - we do NOT need to overspend on a player like Clements - he should play for the Jets and I hope they pay him a ton of money to be the star he thinks he is.

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Watch your mouth little boy. Maybe the jets will learn one year to have a commitment to winning. Nobody is ever scared of them because they never make the moves necessary to be a contender. They are a profitable franchise, not a winning one. Mangenius should know that justin miller can return punts be he can't cover me. You guys go in next season with the same secondary your screwed. You had a dream season, zero big injuries and a cupcake schedule (two wins against winning teams and one of those was the titans with kerry collins at the helm).
About the skins, if you don't know already, we haven't wrapped up dock yet. As fans, too many of you are falling into this miserable redskins trap we got used to. We need to sign dock than worry about over hyped clements. If they short change dock and he leaves and we overpay clements I swear Cerrato better up his security

Can they overpay for this guy?!? I know our front office has worked some cap magic in the past, but if a bidding war breaks out, some teams have a lot more cap room than others. Of course, 1niksder is probably the real expert to address this question.

first of all if you want to talk like that Justin Miller doesnt even start for the Jets so what r u trying to infer. He only started cuz of our injuryless season even though our top cb went down(andre dyson), but unlike the skins, the jets handled their adversity and went to the playoffs. We lost to the colts by 4 because of a bad pass interference call on J Miller and lost to the bears because of one missed tackle by Drew Coleman. Those games were early in the year be4 our d adjusted to the 3-4 scheme, but then we turned it. As for the redskins, they lost to the colts 36-22, but wasnt as close as the score shows. Also, your wins were against the texans, home against Jax where there defense plays avg, a win against dallas on a crazy play that doesnt really count, carolina who had an offseason, and the amazing saints who were playing for nothing at that time of the year. And with little draft pix this year and mayb a couple pickups from freeagency the redskins franchise isnt spiraling towards success like the Jets are right now. Also if ur Front office is so smart that explains the signings of Archuleta a great runstopper when u already have Sean Taylor. So which one covers. Most avg sports fans know that 2 runstopping safeties never works. U need one to cover, something the redskins secondary never did last year.

I think I can answer it. No we can't win a bidding war against other teams if they want to take it far. We still have to be prepared to sign a #6 pick, not cheap. Also, we are looking to resign dock and make moves elsewhere. We are salary cap magicians but if a team like the niners or tenn is willing to do whatever it takes to get him, we just cant match it. Oh well, I don't care much about the guy to be honest

How can you make excuses about our wins, you sound like a fool. We beat jax, what happened when you played them 42-0? I live in ny and watch the jets. You had the biggest cupcake schedule in the league. Talk about a bad win, with your playoff life on the line you eeked one out against cleo lemon. Statistically you had the least injuries to starters in all of football. Please showcase some knowledge, Justin Miller was your third corner, something that is very important in this league and he got chewed up. Your excuses are terrible. The COLTS GAME!!! We were winning at half. You guys were getting beat the whole game and got back in the game with a kickoff return (according to you great special teams plays dont count as wins like ours against the boys) Please don't spit a couple of little things off the scoreboard your getting your facts from. I watched the jets and you're in for a rude awakening this season because I know jet fans and as long as you have chad you aren't comfortable, rightfully so.

Right, I said, essentially, I don't THINK he'll get what he's asking for and you replied "You don't know what will happen." So why even reply? You could have farted and that would have done as much to advance the conversation.
RIP Sean Taylor
Mark MY words
I don't see Gibbs going after any big free agent splashes this year. He'll look for some depth at O-line, a 3rd CB and maybe a bigger MLB to compete with Marshall for 1st and 2nd downs. Mark my words, no big over-priced free agents this year.
Build through the draft!
