Barlow cut from Jets

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Barlow cut from Jets

Post by nyjetsfan69 »

Jets RB Kevan Barlow has requested and been granted his release after refusing to take a paycut, a person close to the running back told The Star-Ledger last night. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the club has yet to make an announcement. That announcement could come today.

Barlow, who was to earn a $2.75 million in base salary in 2007, had an injury-slowed season with the Jets after being acquired from the 49ers last August for a fourth-round pick. He finished with 370 yards rushing and six touchdowns on 131 carries, just a 2.8-yard average

good now we need a rb that can break the 3ypc mark

I liked Barlow a lot when he was with the 49ers. Not sure he is worth a look, however.

Well, you are not getting ladell or clinton so look for your 3ypc average back somewhere else. Maybe give eddie george a call, he could get that.

The last thing we should spend money on is a rb...we have portis, betts, rock, & nemo.

This is NOT a position of need.

Completely agree. Don't need a RB... fix the defense...
